NEW YORK (AP) — Ann Curry offered a tearful goodbye as co-host of NBC's "Today" show on Thursday, saying, "This is not as I expected to ever leave this couch."
Her exit represents NBC's most visible response to the popular morning show's worst stretch in the ratings in nearly two decades. "Today" hadn't lost a single week since 1996, but this spring it was beaten four times by ABC's resurgent "Good Morning America."

During interviews with Republicans or Conservatives Ann would ask her pointed liberal questions and then seem disgusted if she didn’t get the answer she wanted. As for her job, that’s life in the fast lane of overpaid morning TV - you win some like Matt Lauer’s multi-million-dollar contract, and you lose some.

I’d actually feel sorry for her had she not gotten the massive severance package. Not that I think she does any better job than the rest of the hacks on the show, but that those in charge of the show are making it seem like the ratings slump is exclusively her fault.

She tries to keep a forced smile most of the time, but is so furious that the little drunks are ruining their super important bit on decorating with pumpkins. Everyone else is laughing and having a good time, but she's a total shrew.
She takes the booze away from the midget, and doesn't even smile when he moonwalks and starts humping Al Roker's leg.
She will just be replaced by some other Liberal bubblehead who will continue biased policy in place.
Good she sucked. Her incessant whispering while relating a story sounded like she was covering a ultra critical moment at a golf match.

Ann who? One less liberal Diva...a hundred more waiting to take her place. Yawn.
For me, it isn’t just how liberal she is, but how she makes me cringe and look away when she’s ad libbing or interviewing. She is bad on all counts.
