Country on the Decline

Posted on 06/28/2012 6:31:46 PM PDT by Phinneous

How do we hedge this country's decline?

TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Society
KEYWORDS: constitution; liberty
I had a thought: The blue states which are hopelessly bankrupt and depraved, will fall into chaos...and the rest of us better move into Deep Red until the barbaric zombies of the coastal wastelands beg to rejoin the civil societies--the societies who resist this creeping tyranny (arm up and prepare) and reject laws (civilly) made by traitors to the Constitution. Strengthen your homes, towns, and states with the Constitution.

I feel better. I allowed myself one Facebook rant, one office lib-crushing, and one vanity. Let's say l'chaim and go study Torah...

From what I’ve noticed, when liberals destroy whatever economy they happen to be in, they just move to another. I.e. one where conservatives have worked to make successful. Then they rewrite history to make themselves the driving force behind all the success, and conservatives to blame for what they’re currently destroying. Since they’re now doing this on a national level, they just don’t have to move around as much.

By praying for her. And by praying for a revival among all of GOD’s people here, and across the world.

We don’t.

We have a reached a point where those who would do what is wrong far, far outnumber those who would do what is right.

Until today, I had hope. Even in the face of all the gutlessness in the GOP, and in spite of our socialism Lite nominee, and after the republicans refused to even contmplate impeaching Kagan for her refusal to recuse herself.

I no longer have hope that we can save ourselves, so I’m withdrawing to take care of my family as best I can. Next week I will cease offering health insurance to my employees, and instead use that money to invest in land and other tangible assets.

Because this country is going to burn.

The one thing that keeps coming to mind today- we often don’t get the government we want but we will get the government we deserve.

We’ve become narcissistic and even worse > foolish (as opposed to wise). Our government reflects that. And that does not bode well for our future.

It was a good run. We made it 236 years. From looking at the rest of the world, I guess it’s just human nature to trade freedom for “security”. We are no longer an exceptional people. We’re just another impoverished third world nation ruled by a marxist dictator. We earned it- we deserve it. USA RIP

Go for something small first, like, praying for Niagara Falls to stop flowing.

Don’t have children. If you already have kids ...tell them to not have children. The future looks grim for the next 1,000 years,

Amen Brother Man,

Gonna head to the store to buy more ammo this weekend.

Got my eye on a Bennelli Supernova as well.

Discouragement time is over for me. Time to move on and get ready....

We’ve become a silly people, living in a silly country, with lots of easy wealth to be thrown at silly concerns.

Bad things will happen to us and we will have brought them on ourselves.

“God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift from God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, and that His justice cannot sleep forever.” Thomas Jefferson [Notes on the State of Virginia, 1781]

We don't

Actually I stopped believing we could after the usurper was elected. I felt that way for the same reason you stated...we're simply outnumbered.

From this point forward it's going to be Biblical...

I would welcome you, in particular, to move to my neighborhood in the middle of nowhere on the Rockies for security while preparing to make Aliyah (the big one before the World to Come). Fascist, bipartisan animal worshiping environmentalists will be leaving here after the bond collapse ahead of us. Please remember strong property rights, though (that is, property rights against unnecessary regulations), and don’t fear the hard working rednecks (outdoor work clothes, older vehicles and the like). We’re the only ones who can grow food, repair and build necessary things. [I’m a G-d-fearing Gentile, BTW.]

I hope it doesn’t turn out that way, but I’ve stopped waiting for the tide to turn.

We’re going Galt business-wise wherever possible, and taking that money to shore up the family. What blows me away is that half of my employees are Obama-worshippers... and I run an insurance agency! Most of them are young, but I can already hear the squealing that will be taking place when I cut benefits next week; however, the cut in health coverage will be accompanied by a short sermon on WHY we are heading in this direction with the company.
