EPA Admin: Americans No Smarter Than Fifth Graders
Washington Free Beacon ^ | June 11, 2012 | Staff

Posted on 06/29/2012 9:34:03 AM PDT by Twotone

When asked to craft a headline about her tenure at the EPA, chief administrator Lisa Jackson questioned the American public’s ability to read at a fifth-grade level in an interview with the Guardian:

“In accordance with the law, we moved forward with sensible, cost effective steps at the federal level on climate, using the Clean Air Act.” And I would have a second sentence — see, I can’t write headlines! But it would be something like, ”The progress at state and local levels, combined with the federal level, does not obviate the need” — you can’t use obviate, it’s above fifth-grade level! — “does not obviate the need for federal legislation to address this incredibly important challenge for this and future generations.”

The left loves to think we're all idiots. Of course, they've created an education system that does everything BUT educate...

The left loves to think we're all idiots.

Probably based upon those they associate with at their "party" meetings.

Most of the libs I've met would have a hard time competing with First Grade dropouts.

“In accordance with the law, we moved forward with sensible, cost effective steps at the federal level on climate, using the Clean Air Act.”

This is the activist method, that of taking a precedent act and using it to push regulations that totally exceed what the original intent of the enabling act. It is the same for the Endangered Species Act, Navigable Waters Act, Disabled Access and numerous other "well meaning" laws.

It is not the first implementation, it is the Nth implementation and all subsequent.

Jackson is the first person of African American descent to serve as EPA Administrator

She (Jackson) attended Tulane University with a scholarship from Shell Oil Company

Jackson had not grown up as an outdoors person, but became interested in environmental matters following the national and international coverage of the Love Canal Disaster.

she has made it a priority to focus on vulnerable groups – including children, the elderly, and low-income communities – that are particularly susceptible to environmental and health threats

On December 8, 2009, Jackson said in a written statement that the finding, which declares carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases a threat to public health

Speaking at Power Shift 2011, Jackson promised that she was more energized than ever to keep America on a path towards a more green and environmentally sustainable future

The left is full of ignorant, immoral and illegal fools. They only way the EPA continues it’s destructive existence is because of the ignorance on the left. If it weren’t for the stupid welfare state voting to keep there entitlement to our slavery in check they would be no more.

Folks who work for a living don’t normally put up with the insanity that is so destructive to their lives and livelihoods.

I’d take on this ignorant, affirmative action parasite on ANY intellectual subject, with half my neurons tied behind my back.

Anytime.

It is ironic that so many in this administration come from academia, but complain we are too stupid to understand how they are trying to help us. A talented educator is capable of teaching to all levels. A truly talented teacher can flex to another level at the flip of a switch.

My father was like that. He taught astronomy because he loved it. He could teach anybody that wanted to learn, college student down to kindergarten. When the university had invited the public in he could converse with a high school dropout just as easily as a guy with a PhD.

The EPA and other envirowanks sit around imagining unicorns and utopia - not unlike grade schoolers - and call the rest of us "5th graders" for not buying into their sugar-plum fairy tales.

But, I would rather have the intelligence of a 5th grader than the immaturity of a kindergartener.

Idiot Lisa misused the word "obviate." To "obviate the need" is a redundancy. Fifth grade must have been her highest grade.

The elite eco-snobs running the EPA are like teenage kids with shotguns. They have so much they want to accomplish yet have no idea about the responsibilities they have to the public.

Moreover, they cannot fathom that government, especially one supposedly based on limited and enumerated powers (now maybe moot thanks to Justice Roberts), has limits. There is a limit to where it can reach and grasp for control and power.

F.A. Hayek showed in his 1974 Nobel Lecture, “The Pretence of Knowledge” that no committee of experts can know enough to regulate and control a vast society and economy. Such efforts always have inefficiencies and failures. The key may lie in simply having government set standards and making it public where they think people, corporations and institutions (like the Defense Department) fail to meet those standards.

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”;

If we look at what the Leftists have accomplished over the years in Europe, Russia, Asia, South America, and here in the U.S. we can see the results of their brilliance /s.

Liberalism is a clique of intellectual inbreds. As a clique they stew in the juices of their own limited perspectives making a show of their nothingness, impressing the ignorant, and drawing reverence from those whom see only their comaraderie. They are idiots reveling in adulation of idiots.

We can’t teach them to grow beyond that of their limits, but be thankful they are the minority.

It’s up to the adults to be the majority that we are, and this November kick their self righteous idiocy the “H” out of our governance, and then to keep them out.
