BREAKING NEWS: Friend Says Andy Griffith Has Died
Former UNC President Bill Friday says Andy Griffith died this morning in Dare County. Friday, who is a close friend of the actor, confirmed that to WITN News.
Friday tells us the 86-year-old actor died at his Dare County home around 7:00 a.m. this morning.
Griffith attended UNC Chapel Hill where he earned a degree in Music. According to IMDb.com, Griffith was a regular on the Ed Sullivan show in the 1950's.
Killed by 0bamaDosen’tCare no doubt.
Well, at least his condition is stabilized.
RIP Sheriff Andy.
As for Andy Griffith... doesn’t look like his beloved Obamacare could save him.
Ron Howard’s Call For Obama With Andy Griffith And Henry Winkler

Ron Howard is the latest star to voice his support for Obama, and he did it alongside his old costars Andy Griffith and Henry Winkler in a video for Funny or Die. Watch him strip down, trim his nose hair and don an Opie wig for a black and white call to action before fast-forwarding to “Happy Days.”
RIP Andy and Goober. You were both well loved.
Those pro-Obama ads with Howard, Winkler and Griffith as they tried to reprise their "Andy Griffith" and "Happy Days" roles, were the saddest I'd ever seen.

Actually he had great timing.
Out just before the Death Panels cranked up.
I'm sure he had excellent care to the finish.
Wow, and he didn’t even get a chance to experience Obamatax that he was in love with.
But seriously, I loved Mayberry.
One of my all-time favorite shows and character (Andy). Guess that just leaves Opie, Gomer and Thelma Lou.RIP Andy....you left us some wonderful memories. :(
If I’m not mistaken I think Andy said sometimes afterwards that that was one of the biggest mistakes he ever made. I stand corrected if not so.
A shill for Obamacare.
I anm sure his absentee ballot has already been submitted for Obama.
Remix of Andy Griffith ObamaCare Commercial
He lost me when he voiced his support for the John Edwards Senate campaign. IIRC, he said that was the biggest mistake he ever made.
Regrettably, he did not learn from that mistake, and continued to support liberal causes.
Roast in Hell, Andy.
Rather than the abysmally wrongheaded endorsements of his elder years, I’ll choose to remember the sustained magnificence of the legendary Andy Griffith Show.
Nothing less than one of the true pinnacles of American television history.
“But seriously, I loved Mayberry.”
You need to watch the movie “No Time For Sergeants.” Way better than Mayberry!
R.I.P. Sheriff Taylor
Maybe the flower gift costs will instead be sent to the Kenyan bastard’s re-election as donations.
I think he was manipulated by the disgusting AARP executives in his older age at a time when his mind was weak.
One of the funniest shows I can remember watching when I was a little girl...Then I knew and could care less about who the president was..I just enjoyed watching his show..
A talented man and beloved due to his Mayberry character. What a disappointment, though, when he proved to be such a misguided liberal. This never quite made sense. He obviously was not like the common-sense Sheriff Andy in his real life.
RIP Andy and Goober. You were both well loved.
I still love the reruns and will watch them as long as the networks run them. I was raised in a small town in the 50’s and it was a wonderful experience and great memories. Mayberry will always hold a special place in my heart - a cmforting place. Rest in Peace Andy Taylor.
I return AAR’s letters to them (in chopped up form) in their own postage paid envelopes.
Somewhere down the line Andy , Ron, and Henry became devout Marxist/ commies and I refused to watch them upon learning of their loyalty to communism .
That is just how I feel: beloved characters played by another leftist.
“I return AARs letters to them (in chopped up form) in their own postage paid envelopes.”
Next time, tape them to a brick, before dropping them in the mail.
Awww shucks... no more ObamaCare Communist Commercials.???
What does it matter what a dead 82yo man’s politics were? Why even bring it up?
That latrine scene where Griffin had all the lids
come to attention makes me laugh right now.Funny movie
Don Knotts was the one who made Mayberry funny
A half-hearted RIP to Andy...wish you had not been so left
he was another wwii era socialist exploiting the free system he inherited but bankrupting for our posterity. evil masquerading as good.
You need to watch the movie No Time For Sergeants. Way better than Mayberry!
I agree! Loved the bar scene with the lighter fluid in the drink!
“No time for sargents” will always be an all time classic too!
HaHa! Gotta love them toilet seats!
I have been tempted to add certain substances...
RIP Sheriff Taylor. Thank you for many happy hours while visiting your town Mayberry.
It wasn’t the same after Barney left. Some shows it looked like Andy didn’t even want to be there.
Loved the show. Opie the birdman showed what a great actor Opie was..
I try not to think about the politics
and who can forget Citizen’s Arrest
We need to do that to Holder
He died for me when he made his commercial for Obamacare.
Too bad, up until then I really liked him.
Barney Fife had to keep his bullet in his pocket. They wouldn’t let him carry a loaded gun. LOL.
One of the funniest movies EVER.....!
Thank God we in Tarheelvania won’t have to be subjected to his Obama commercials again.
Matlock is still on WGN America. He was a good actor, but I didn’t agree with his take on the health care law. He might have been brainwashed when he reunited with Ron Howard and Henry Winkler a few times this past year. In 2003 he was part of a reunion show and in 2008 they did propaganda for Obama.
I still think one of the best movies of all time was the one he did back in the 50s, “A face in the crowd”.
If you haven’t seen it, it’s a MUST!
