Is that the bar that had Fox News on and Obama yelled at them to change the station?

The June unemployment was actually 8.5%, but John Roberts lowered it 8.2%

Both the labor force participation rate and civilian-employment ratio remain dead in the water

Just 84,000 private sector jobs

“The weakest job adding quarter in two years” -

very disappointing report for the Obama administration..not good news for the American economy” says CNBC’s John Harwood

The already terrible May jobs report was revised further downward 9,000. The stomach punch economy.

I guess “8.2%” is supposed to be the rate of unemployment which apparently we’re all supposed know automatically because we’ve all been so politicized.

Hilarious to watch CNBC reaction to this godawful report: 4 "analysts" in a row said "Well at least average hourly earnings were up 0.3%!" That is 6 cents! Another one said "the recovery is steadily progressing". And Obama's former economic idiot said he was 'ok' with the report!
This went on until they finally got to a voice of reason, who said: "Are you kidding me? How do you like these numbers? This is a disaster. And Obama is in Ohio trying to explain this to a bunch of diners? NO ONE is buying this. There is NO 'recovery'".

Finally, we got to the “are you kidding me” stage of the denial. This is bad for Obama, really really bad.

What were the revised numbers from last month? The official number, as I recall, was 69,000 jobs.

10.9%: What the unemployment rate would be if labor force participation rate was the same as when Obama took office

The number of unemployed persons (12.7 million) was essentially unchanged in June, and the unemployment rate held at 8.2 percent. (See table A-1.)

Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rate for blacks (14.4 percent)edged up over the month, while the rates for adult men (7.8 percent), adult women (7.4 percent), teenagers (23.7 percent), whites (7.4 percent),
and Hispanics (11.0 percent) showed little or no change. The jobless rate for Asians was 6.3 percent in June (not seasonally adjusted), little changed
from a year earlier. (See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)

In June, the number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks and over) was essentially unchanged at 5.4 million. These individuals accounted for 41.9 percent of the unemployed. (See table A-12.)

Both the civilian labor force participation rate and the employment-population ratio were unchanged in June at 63.8 and 58.6 percent, respectively. (See table A-1.)

watching CNBC....they asked the female on the panel and the former obama adviser what they thought “recovery moving along and and the numbers could have been worse....

one of the guys on the panel laughed at both of them “you’re putting lipstick on a pig...obama’s in Ohio today??? how’s he going to explain this???!!”

former obama economic aid Goolsby just got his ass handed to him on CNBC- his response to the numbers; “obama has created about 1 million more jobs than George Bush at comparative points in their presidency”...

Santelli laughed at him, “are you joking??? more people were employed when Bush was in office!!”...even the host of the show thought it was a ridiculous comment and chimed in “it should be much easier to create jobs when unemployment is 8.2% versus 5.5%”...

Yes, he wanted them to turn off Fox news, then had his peeps remind reporters that he was “joking around”.

you beat me to it (post 14)...watching Goolsby get laughed at was great...he’s now backing off “i only mentioned the George Bush number as a historical matter”....he know he was made a fool...

all the obama tools are now saying “well obama pulled us out of a depression, blah-blah-blah”....except for a few the CNBC panel is in mourning as they realize this is another nail in obama’s coffin...

Recompute. Many on SSI, not counted, long term disability, etc. adds up somewhere over 23.5% Forbes looked at this about two months ago, so it’s probably higher. When I showed people the article, they said it was propaganda.

Yep, they’re going to have to spin like a whirling dervish, because it was another dismal month.
