***Why Are All The TV Commentators Afraid of Sarah Palin***
Stardate: 0606.9

Posted on 07/09/2012 1:34:24 PM PDT by The Wizard

Listening to these TV morons talk about a woman for VP and not mentioning Sarah is insulting to her and to us.....

Bill Crystal climbing over his chair with Neal Cavuto to avoid suggesting SARAH for VP made me sick, and I have now sworn off him and the weakly standard.....

In fact, as the former VP she should have had the party's backing for president, and is the only one who represents the American people.....

Why are we not "excited" by Romney.....it's not because he isn't s decent man who absolutely will be a fine president, but it's because America wanted Sarah Palin, and IMHO she is the only "exciting" choice for VP and what she would bring to the Romney campaign is not possible to over state

I am a “non traditional” (almost 50 year old) student at a major SE University. The other day one of my stupid professors said, “Here is an idea that even Sarah Palin can understand”. To my surprise (and delight) NO ONE laughed. He even said, “That was a joke” and still no one laughed. I loved it!!! The joke is, idiot, that Sarah Palin is too smart for someone like YOU to understand what she’s saying.

I’ll utter that which must not be uttered.

Sarah is more intelligent, more experienced, and much more moral than is the Cretin-in-Chief.

Period.

There is no argument.

Because sadly there is a greater likelihood that Mitt Romney will choose as his running mate that orangutan from the Clint Eastwood movies than choose Sarah. So commentators will spend no time on that.

None of them are afraid of Palin. Have you heard anyone in the Republican party suggest Palin for VP? Has Romney ever suggested he has considered her for VP? Absolutely not. For good reason. It has nothing to do with the media. It has to do with Romney and the GOP.

A lot of people say picking Palin would be a mistake. I think it would be a bold statement. Obama was an unknown 4 years ago. Now people know what he stands for. And they also know that much of the negative stuff said about Sarah Palin was untrue. Those who enthusiastically chose Obama in 2008 are switching sides this time.

I say put Sarah Palin on the ticket, and the people will choose her over the Obama/Biden team. It will also help in getting people to hold their noses in selecting Romney.

Palin will never be the VP pick for two reasons:

1) Picking a VP is just like being in a band & going on tour. If you're the headliner, never pick a band to open for you if you think they are better than you and/or you think they will outshine you. That only leads to less popularity for you.

2) Palin doesn't want the VP slot for much the same reason she chose not to run for president - a loss equals a big blow to the gravy train of speaking fees, TV appearances, reality shows, book sales, etc.

As a former rabid Sarah-supporter, I hate to break it to you but the Palin brand is damaged, probably forever. That is probably the reason she didn’t run.

The reality tv shows, the horrible way the McCain camp threw her to the wolves, the resigning as Gov. the long, long campaign tease. Pile them up and she’s poison as a candidate, at least for now. There is NO WAY Romney puts her on the ticket. ABSOLUTELY NO WAY.

I know lots of people still love her and hang on her every word, but it’s over, they still can’t accept it.

And then she would have more fame.. and credentials for making a sandwich.

Living in Alaska, it was hard not to run into Saran Palin during her incumbency, even for us up here in Fairbanks. She remembered me, by face if not by name. Her political opposition crucified her with manufactured lies and charges. If she were to run, I’d vote for her in a heartbeat. She is a powerful voice where she is, but I wouldn’t wish for her to run that devastating political gauntlet again.

Romney, when elected President, needs to merge the Interior and Energy Depts, with EPA, into one consolidated, but smaller Cabinet Dept and make Sarah its Secretary.

She will run that department well, giving us a real Energy/Environmental Policy.

In doing so, she'll earn the country's respect. If the timing is right, she'll be our first female President.

A lot of people say picking Palin would be a mistake.

I think it would be a mistake for Palin to accept if he asked.

For one thing, it would tarnish her credibility. McCain was bad enough, but Romney is and has been a functional and effective liberal Democrat for his entire political career, advocating all the things Palin opposes. He believes, for example, in man-caused global warming, whereas Palin considers it "snake oil science." As his running mate, how much respect would she lose by zipping her mouth shut on that issue? Tons, that's how much.

For another thing, Vice Presidents are almost always reduced to objects of national ridicule, a popular national passtime; it seems to be part of the VP's role. The earliest that Palin could realistically be considered as a presidential candidate would be 2020, after eight years of being derided ala Dan Quayle.

Sarah Palin is the people's candidate and not the Republican establishment's candidate so Romney wouldn't give Sarah the time of day much less the VP slot. Not that Palin would want to be on a Romney ticket. She knows full well that he is a watered-down 'Republican' and certainly not a conservative, as Palin is. Sarah Palin scares the heck out of the leftmedia talking heads as well as the GOP 'elites' - RINOs, all, including Bill Kristol. So, the media lefties demonized Palin and called her 'stupid' a few million times until it became 'accepted as fact by many'. The GOP elites distanced themselves from Palin and, in effect, ignored her existence. Kristol's pretending Sarah Palin never existed when discussing Romney's running mate is a good example of that kind of very deliberate isolation of Sarah Palin.

The trolls on FR (quickly banished) that carp about her ability to make money giving speeches (as every national politician does) and being a Fox News commentator (for a seven-figure salary) is another example of how the left and their media water-carriers marginalize a politician they fear and loath. It's right out of the Alinski playbook and, to some extent, has worked at keeping Sarah Palin from engaging in electoral politics at a time when she is needed and would be welcomed by millions, should she ever chose to run. However, it has not silenced her and for that, I'm grateful. I also have a tiny hope that Sarah Palin will surprise us all at the GOP convention in August. How, I'm not sure, but she'll be there and she will not be marginalized, then.

Palin’s path to the White House needs to include a term in the Senate or on the Cabinet. This would go a long way to regain the moderate & indep vote she may have once had but lost when she quit the gov’s office (which I personally think she had to do).

But it's no good trying to use Jesus' name to alienate good Christian brothers and sisters from one another, especially by perpetuating a blazing falsehood:

Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: [17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, [18] An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, [19] A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
