This song from Buddy Guy's new album touches me in all the right places. It is his personal thank you for the life he loves and lives.

In this video 77 year old Buddy Guy performs with his good friend, 87 year old BB King and their genuine feelings for each other and the music they love comes shining through.

This is electric blues and guitar playing at it's best. I hope you enjoy it.

Very touching. They have both added immeasurably to the joy in my life.

I love your selection, Bay - it made me go get you one of my favorites (tho not blues):

This is the Gig Street Boys - they play on the streets in France, and every thing I have heard about them, is “WOW”. If I ever get to France, I will for sure look these guys up!

Like it or not, it’s pretty cool as you listen through the clip:

Love it, thanks.

The best thing about my local NPR station (other than their unbiased reportage, ha ha) is their blues programming. Lots of Buddy Guy and more....listen online starting in about 50 minutes, 9PM CDT - WNIJ from Northern Illinois University:

I take delight in enjoying the blues programs for free, courtesy of libs who make the pledges for the otherwise left-wing propaganda.

The US Works Progress Administration (WPA) was a federal agency designed ostensibly to help the unemployed, but Casey Bill Weldon recounts how a redevelopment project carried out by the WPA cost a man his home.

Tnis is one of my favorite blues songs. The pianist is Thomas "Georgia Tom" Dorsey, who in 1932 would write the hymn "Precious Lord, Take My Hand."

Thank you for that. I’ve seen both of them in concerts, seperatley and together. Awesome!. Buddy Guy walked out into the audience at one concert I was at(with a long, long cord) and walked over to a gentleman in a wheelchair and gave him a ‘personal’ concert. Absolutey astonishing. Wonderful music, wonderful musicians.

I saw him a few years ago for my birthday in Reno. Sat next to a bunch of drunk jerks who screamed and whistled so loud, Buddy asked them to cool it (bu they never did). So I complained to the manager (politely) because BG was the reason for me being there, and he comped us two tickets for the next night’s show.

The second night, Buddy said “okay, let’s do it right this time’ and winked.

It was a really, really great show. He IS the Blues.

Old oak trees with full, leafy branches too numerous to count.

Good stuff.

I usually go see BB when he comes through town, and have seen Buddy play with him at least a couple times. I have tix for BB with Tedeschi-Trucks Band warming up for late August, and I am very much psyched up for that show. I’m a huge fan of Susan and Derek, do not fail to go see them if you have a chance.

Hard to believe BB is 87, and still going. The man has great genes to say the least.
