The name of the song that may have sparked the shooting remained a mystery.

This sounds like a job for FReepers!

Without reading the article, I’d say it’s probably justifiable.

This happens quite often actually.

Trivia:

1) Which country has the most murders over Karaoke?

2) And over which song has most of the Karaoke murders taken place in that nation? Answers:

1)Philippines

2) Frank Sinatra's "My Way"

The "My Way" killings are a social phenomenon in the Philippines, where the killing of karaoke singers who get into disputes about their renditions of Frank Sinatra's signature tune, "My Way", has led some bars to ban the song and other singers to abstain from singing it.

he didn't like his country karaoke singing.

Isn't that the reason for karaoke?

“Feelings”. Anyone who sings a karaoke version of “Feelings” does not deserve life.

Call me a purist but karaoke should not be sung unless you can do it properly.

Drunk, badly and in Japanese.

That should cut down on it. At least in the US. Japan is a lost cause.

I sang Sid Vicious’ version of My Way (and it was in the book) shortly after someone else sang Frank’s Way.
