While I appreciate the sentiment of the article, I think you still have to win the medals first before you declare victory.
Exactly. I can`t get up the enthusiasm for chanting “USA! USA! USA!!” when this country is so close to committing what amounts to national suicide.
Won`t even be able to tell our bereted athletes from the French at the opening ceremony.
So.. no thanks... The “rah-rah-rah” meter is pegged this time around.

Having Obama in office, dismantling everything this country stands for, kinda takes the edge off my urge to wave the flag at sporting events.
After all, if our athletes win a medal, they didn’t earn that themselves...they owe it to the government.
Ugh.

Love the USA, the Olympics not at all.
She’s saving herself for marriage too.
