Noun
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.

I have been up most of the night with an agitated dog who barks nonstop at thunder and we had storms so I am suffering from an acute case of hebetude. I plan to go run and then take a good long nap.
Jules has taken to letting out a few barks at thunder. I decided to try to make it a pleasant association but quartering those little billjac training treats and when there’s a boom of thunder I say it’s time for thunder cookies!
As I listen to Obama’s latest web etude
I am stricken by his manner and his hebetude
“All success comes from the village”
Makes it easier to pillage
He only wants a playing field that’s level, dude
Man, I must have missed the “Red Sea Pedestrian” part when listening to that rant...
That’s FUNNY right there, don’t care who ya are.
Chutzpah == Chebetude
We have a grocery store called H.E.B. You say each letter. My kids call it “The Hebe” - It is our favorite store
This guy is having big-time agitation, flipping his crate over while he is heavily sedated and nonstop barking. So I finally caved and ordered his thunder shirt this morning.
The Hebe, huh?Do they take 10% off of the top?
Finished season 2 of Eastbound last night. This just cracked me up:

Filthy show, but hilarious.
I liked that his big epiphany with his father was that he needed to live in the moment and not care about what other people think.
Which is in no way anything different from his entire life up to that moment.

I could’ve sent Jules thunder suit ! Heck I’d get agitated if someone was singing Jackson Browne to me.
I don’t see how anyone can
Say that guns cause crime-
But that hebetude has persisted
All through history and time
Never mind the insane ones
Who got their biggest kicks
By harming their fellow humans,
Even with rocks and sticks
Some humans are consumed by evil
And when it finds a voice
It is the person who does harm,
And not their weapon of choice
Words cannot describe something so awful, can it? I’m surprised that the shooter was taken into custody, and did not off himself-I suppose that we will hear soon enough if anyone noticed that he had been behaving strangely...
