tanks for the idea!!! I am off to dehydrate a few items in my automobile
God Bless you and your brother Gabz...
Nothing wrong with a bit of Green energy. Maybe we can even sell carbon credits from the drying process.
Thank you my FRiend! It was absolutely wonderful. My dad was so surprised - he had absolutely no clue whatsoever. he was just beside himself, he was so excited. and after all these years I actually discovered, I actually do like my brother - at least I do like the man he is now. He and I just never got along. Over the course of the past year and a half, my attitude toward him had definitely mellowed because he and my father have actually become friends and I was very happy about that - because those 2 were not quite as oil and water as brother and me, but pretty close to it.
One of my father’s wishes, since he and I got back together after about 17 years, was for my brother and I to at least get along. He was willing to accept it wasn’t going to happen and was thankful that we at least accepted each others part in dad’s life and weren’t going to be causing anyone any grief.
A whole lot of family dynamics changed last weekend and I honestly lay all the blame for that on my 14yo daughter. she and my brother hit it off as if they had known each other forever and they only met for the first time when we got off the plane last Saturday. It was a beautiful thing.
sorry for my rambling - I’m still sort of stunned about the whole thing.
My wife used the back of our Chevy suburban to get her bread dough to rise back in the early 70s...
Thank you. That is the same procedure we tried to make mesquite charcoal. The coyotes loved to lay on the mounds of warm dirt.
Try the house brand of hot sauce at Aldi if you have one nearby. It is only $1/pint. It is thicker than Tabasco with less vinegar bite. I prefer it to Tabasco. It is fuller with more body. Tabasco makes their hot sauce in an overwrought way.....yeah I have seen it on TV a few times. You can make yours quicker thicker and better. Plus Aldi’s is good
LOL
The corn looks...good enough to eat. YUMMY!
After you’ve powdered the veggies, put them in a jar, do you vaccum pack the jar? I’m thinking of getting a dehydrater, Excalibur. You who have these really like them. Have you tried corn? I’m ready to begin some seed for the winter garden..wish me luck. LOL
Putting in fall crops - beets, turnips, lettuce, baby bok choy.
Got peppers out the wazoo. Swimming in eggplant as well. Tomatoes are decent this year, still waiting for the beefsteaks to kick in.
Dug up the last of the Yukon Golds, still have a row of Red Bliss in the ground.
I dried several bags of frozen sweet corn i’d gotten on sale from the grocery store. Dried them till they were little wispy cruncy bits. My oldest loves them. Eats them for a snack, in fact. Haven’t ground them or anything because she eats them nearly as quickly as I can dry them.
So my verdict is: Delicious!
Fermenting tabasco peppers? Just pop them in water and let them bubble, the mash and add seasonings?
How funny.
I know this sounds stupid...did you take them off the cob while still frozen?
Not stupid. I buy the bags of sweet corn bits already off the cob.
Finally coming on!
Not to Worry Lera as I bought a different trap today
