Boston mayor vows to keep Chick-fil-A out of city

The mayor of Boston is vowing to block Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant in the city after the company's president spoke out publicly against gay marriage.

Mayor Thomas Menino told the Boston Herald on Thursday that he doesn't want a business in the city "that discriminates against a population."

Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press this week that his privately owned company is "guilty as charged" in support of what he called the biblical definition of the family.

The fast-food chicken sandwich chain later said that it strives to "treat every person with honor, dignity and respect -- regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender."

Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A has more than 1,600 stores nationwide but just two in Massachusetts, both located in suburban malls.

Boston: refuge of queers and criminal illegals!

Lousy stinking mayor who couldn’t find his arse with both hands.

Chic-fil-A gets our business from now on out!

I hate what Boston has become!

I heard the sound bite. Nothing hateful about it, and nothing about gay marriage.

Well, Willard Romney owns this debacle. He is responsible for opening the hell's gates for the homosexual agenda in Massachusetts. And then this POS fled to NH. This murderer, homosexual loving, gun grabbing, romneycare POS, will never, ever get my vote!

I am confident that Mr. Cathy will handle this the same way classic southerners handle any kind of Yankee crap. The worst thing you can do to a New England uppity elite is to ignore them and then laugh at them when they insist on being payed attention to.

Funny thing is John Sununu has this figured out when he goes one-on-one with Mrs. Alan Greenspan (aka Andrea Mitchell).

Another Christian restaurant chain, In-N-Out burger, lists bible passages (such as John 3:16) in out of the way locations on their cups and wrappers.

And I won’t go to Boston because the Mayor is an idiot who discriminates against businessmen.

I’m not much of a chicken person, but I’ve been making Chick-fil-A visits just to support their “closed Sunday” policy. Now I’ll have to double up to support their anti gay marriage policy.

Do they have gift certificates? They would be a great way to support them without having to eat all that chicken....

I have never been to a Chick-fil-A but I plan on going now. What is the Polynesian Sauce? Is it sweet? hot?

The mayor of Boston is vowing to block Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant in the city after the company's president spoke out publicly against gay marriage.

Hey, Mr. Mayor, try reading the First Amendment (and the equivalent provision in the Massachusetts State Constitution) so that you can understand why your vow makes you sound like a fascist.

You are in for a treat - the Polynesian is sweet - all of their sauces are great - try the “Chick-fil-A sauce” too. This is a wonderful company - Mr. Dan Cathy spoke at my daughter’s graduation..... Mr. Truett Cathy is a true Christian gentleman. They support all sorts of great causes - camps for children, scholarships for their employees, etc. Their employees are all well mannered, clean, and respectful. I feel better about eating there than any other fast food establishment around.

Boston deserves what it gets with a mayor like that...

I trust this whole fire-storm will result in *more* business as people hear of the values that the company stands for!!

“What is the Polynesian Sauce? Is it sweet? hot?”

It’s a “Sweet and Sour Sauce” like you would get a Chinese Restaurant. You have to ask for it when you make you order. It comes in a small couple-ounze tub. Just put a little on it or it can get messy. Hmmmm, Hmmm, Hmmm!

Plus, CFA Waffle Fries are to die for!

I’m sure if it was called GAY-fil-A. The socialist democrat frauds who bow to the gay mafia would be burning rubber to sign up as many franchises as they could.
