Roger Ebert wrote his own sex and violence laden films for Russ Meyer (including Beyond the Valley of the Dolls which begins with a scene of a woman fellating a gun and then having the trigger pulled (blood is seen flying out her nose when the scene is reprised near the end of the movie)).

The full credits rolled at the beginning of the movie.

I’ve heard it reported that one of the shooting victims in Aurora had recently survived ANOTHER shooting incident in a theater in Canada. Must still be America’s fault (if true).

Yes, Jessica Ghawi was her name. She was from San Antonio. Her Memorial Service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Community Bible Church in San Antonio

“Why do you need to carry a gun?” McHugh asked him.
“I live in a dangerous neighborhood.”
“It would be safer if you moved.”

He shamelessly stole that from Marie Antoinette. By quoting this Mr. Ebert demonstrates that he, who lives in an ivory tower, has no clue why people have to live in bad neighborhoods. Quite often it's not because people love to fear a drive-by or a robbery or arson.

Should this young man — whose nature was apparently so obvious to his mother that, when a ABC News reporter called, she said “You have the right person” — have been able to buy guns, ammunition and explosives?

Uhmmm....Well, sure but that is not the context in which she said “You have the right person”.

Unbelievable article written by a Chicago ‘Lib-une’ Tribune columnist Steve Chapman, who usually follows the lib party line but this time explains very well how more gun laws will not do anything.

James Madison had something to say about that.
"Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of." --James Madison, Federalist No. 46, 1788

The US is one of the few developed nations that accepts firearms in the hands of its citizens.

What could be his meaning? We are acting contrary to our developed status? We should only allow super citizens (govt minions) to have weapons? Sounds like every so-called developed state which has no problem denying other rights to its not-to-be-trusted citizenry.

What jaw dropping stupidity. We dont want monsters or ministers to have a monopoly on force. It always leads to the crazies and true believers slaughtering the defenseless. His beloved policies are in full force in this civilian disarmament zone he would compel us all to enter. Look at every utopian cesspool and do the body count.

Two thumbs down.

Additionally, if someone is considered “too dangerous”, because of mental failings, to own a gun, should they even be permitted to walk the streets unescorted by a legal guardian?

There has been a hell of a lot of face biting by nutzos lately.

What jaw dropping stupidity.

You made a BINGO!

Roger Ebert is in his final walk of life. Just as Red Ted Kennedy never had to live under Obama/Kennedy/Hillarycare, Ebert won't fear going to his press screenings because the common riffraff do not get attend. Ebert wants the REST of America to have to live under HIS socialist utopian dreams even if they will result in needless death and misery. He "means well".

I don't know if that was a purposeful choice of words regarding Ebert, but I LOL'd anyway!
