I got this from a friend in an email. I hope you don't mind me posting it here.
Well, how interesting! It seems the U.S. Department of Justice has changed its web site. Gone are the colorful red, white, and blue U.S. Flag decorations on the page:
Replaced by stark black. Why BLACK? Hmmmm??
And at the top of the page, is a rather interesting quote:
"The common law is the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people."
Catchy, huh? Just one tiny little (too small to be relevant obviously) point-- the quote is from C. Wilfred Jenks, who in the 1930's was a leading proponent of the "international law" movement, which had as its goal to impose a global common law and which backed 'global workers' rights.' Call it Marxism, call it Progressivism, call it Socialism -- under any of those names, it definitely makes the DOJ look corrupt in their new website with Marxist accessories to match.
How very interesting that 'they' couldn't find a nice quote from one of our Founders. This is an example of the slow, methodical misuse of power our current government is doing as they lead us to socialism, and destroying our republic as we have known it.
My tag line says it all.
When is Election Day?
Not soon enough!
“common law” and “will of the people” are words used by socialists and communists, not people of the U.S. This also goes to the idea of a New World Order, not what free people want or will accept from anyone.
Well at least the slate color scheme is nicer (IMHO) than the brownshirt brown... Otherwise doesn’t seem to be much of a difference between where others have been and where these people are trying to take us.
Look those still protesting the Romney nomination are fighting yesterday’s battle.
Today’s is fighting Obama.
Tomorrow’s is something else. But getting Obama out of our Whitehouse now, is above everything else.
One of the early legal goals of the Federalist Party was to codify English Common Law as the law of the land and enforceable by the federal govt. Jeffersonian Republicans fought this idea and eventually triumphed by limiting the powers of the federal govt to those enumerated in the Constitution. An irony is that one of the most vitriolic opponents of this Federalist attempt to usurp the Common Law was the publisher of the Philadelphia Aurora, Benjamin Franklin Bache. Bache is a “hero” to one of the fascist Left’s most celebrated proponents, the late Howard Zinn. A classic demonstration of how the Left revises history and historical figures to advance their totalitarian cause.
The origin of the quote.....
Real sharp of them to insert some words in that quote done in a sort of calligraphy that mimics the style of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. - Make no mistake about it; this is the one world government crowd in all its ugliness.
I’m surprised they didn’t find some quote that touts regulatory law as the most important.
The Department of Just Us.............
I’ve received the chain email on this several times. A few things that stand out.
First, from a design perspective, the second one is better. It is much easier to read. The top one is difficult to read and screams 90s web design. (Dark gray, not black)
The so-called new words on the DOJ website are actually engraved on the DOJ building from 1935. The quote is not by Jenks but is non-ascribed. (at that, other than when this story came up, I can find no relationship with Jenks to this particular quote before this.) The full quote is ~The common law is derived from the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people, framed by mutual confidence and sanctioned by the light of reason.~
I can’t understand why the employees of the justce department don’t do something to force the admin to get rid of Holder. Maybe it has been so infiltrated that the new president will have to clean house in all departments.
Ah, all the trappings of facism. I wonder what it is that drives national socialists to this art form.
Either way they are going to lose!
“Funeral parlor for America” is a happy day for Eric Withholder. Hey, why hasn’t 0bama forced him to resign yet??? 0bama is complicit in Holder’s crimes and Holder must REALLY have something on 0bama!
"Common law" is indeed used by Americans, the people of the US, just look at the 7th Amendment.
It's almost as if Obama and this Adm are just trying their level best to PO America! They are either the dumbest people on the face of this planet, or so piously arrogant they don't care! Either way they are going to lose!
Does the site have a place for comments...?
I’ll look later.
Any forwarded email is suspect. One should always do some research before distributing said material. As others have pointed out this email is NOT honest.
In my humble opinion we have to be above reproach if we want to succeed. You can’t stand for truth while holding onto falsehoods. There are many more important issues that deserve our attention.
Twinkie ~ “ Real sharp of them to insert some words in that quote done in a sort of calligraphy that mimics the style of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. “
I saw a Utube video that I had to play six times to beleive what he said:
Eric holder : “ ...Due Process and Judicial process are not one and the same, particularly when it comes to national security. The Constitution guarenteees due process it does not guarentee Judicial process . “
The fact that the “Just-Us” Dept. is rewriting and re-interpreting The Constitution comes as no surprise. It is just more frosting on the cake of impropriety; no more surprising than the 18 month “cover up” of Executive Priviledge , nor the Progressive aggression of Executive Orders.
