Teens Protest Chick-fil-A Gay Marriage Stance at New O.C. Branch

The Chick-fil-A gay marriage controversy spilled into the Southland early Thursday morning, as a large group of teens protested the chain’s perceived anti-gay stance outside a newly opened Laguna Hills branch.

About 70 protesters from the nonprofit group Youth Empowered to Act handed out fliers and asked customers at the Orange County restaurant to make a different fast-food choice.

Activists dressed up as chickens, wore shirts emblazoned with “Gay O.K.” slogans, carried rainbow flags and carried signs riffing on the chain’s “Eat Mor Chikin” slogan. They began arriving at 5 a.m.; the restaurant opened at 6 a.m., said Rich Ferraro, a spokesman with the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

At issue: Chick-fil-A’s millions of dollars in donations to anti-gay organizations as well as company president Dan Cathy’s comments last week that the chain is “guilty as charged” of defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman.

Wow!

How lame.

Hunger for delicious chicken, shakes and waffle-fries versus stopping to look at a half dozen idiot twit teens, probably there for summer school extra credit?

My money is on hungers and the no doubt crowded parking lot the idiot teens are blocking within the frame.

I would bet that none of them would get up at 5:00am to go to work... I was going to stop at our local Chick-fil-A today for lunch. It was so crowded you couldn’t get in the door.

If the youth wan’t to support equal protection for gay marriages, they should be protesting the government for subsidising christian hospitals and adoption services. They need to live by the words of gospel singer Sinead O’Connor and “fight the real enemy”. http://www.showbiz411.com/2012/07/21/sinead-oconnor-comes-to-nyc-and-we-learn-shes-actually-a-cutie-pie

The LAT chose to publicize this side of the “controversy”, but not the packed restaurants and they ask us how we can possibly consider them biased?

Sorry. Just trying to express a convoluted look at irony. Not very well, apparently. When they condemn the Pope and the defense of true marriage and family, they fail to also recognize the people of faith who care for them in many ways - hospitals and adoption services - and for some reason they fail to recognize their tax dollars are going to these outfits. If government would just step aside and leave the financing to christian charities, the hospitals and adoption services could live by their traditional moral code and would not be beholden to tax dollars or government mandate. Obama’s government is obviously the real enemy. Not the Pope.

I would be glad to take their handouts and rip them up in front of them and tell them I am here because YOU are here.

I don’t even like chicken, but since you want to make chicken a political act I can play kabuki too.

And dare them to get in my way.

“Useful idiots”.

These kids are so brainwashed by now that they honestly aren’t responsible for their acts. This pro-gay garbage begins in public schools at an age when the kids are too young to have any concept of it, and they’re told it’s some kind of sacred thing.

I read that the DNC is going to propose a plank supporting “gay marriage” in the party’s platform. Somebody here posted that this would do them in, but it won’t, because we have millions of voting age kids who have received noticing but gay indoctrination since kindergarten.

I have seen Chick-fil-A for years, but never stopped in (not a chicken lover). Saturday evening we were in Mobile, Alabama and passed one that we've seen like forever. Pulled in and the drive-thru traffic was wrapped around the building from out in the street; so after waiting for a parking place, I went inside and ordered 2 large sandwiches with cheese, lettuce and tomato, plus 2 large drinks. While waiting, I asked for the manager. He came out and I introduced myself and said something like "This is my first time eating at a Chick-fil-A, but I just wanted to show my support for your CEO's stance on the gay marriage thing." He said thanks and that from the amount of business they were getting, that a lot of people must be doing the same thing.

And, FYI, the chicken wasn't too bad.

Two good ideas to support Chick-fil-A.

1) When you hold large events, consider CFA catering. With smaller get-togethers, provide your guests with a selection of CFA foods. Tea Party and election events are great.

2) Host a lunch for a Boy Scout troop and military veterans at CFA.

Very lame, but not a surprise from the occupation. I went to Chick-fil-A for the first time on Saturday. I went out of my way to place my vote for the business. The cars alone wrapped around the building and out into the main plaza area, had more than 70 people. I did not see any of our occupation media reporting this BUYCOTT!.

It's Wednesday the 1st.

I've never been but I see there's one a few miles from where I'm staying. I'll try to get there. I've heard a lot about them in recent years, this give me a reason finally try their food even if it might be outside my tight budget. Plus, I love the humor of the cow ads.

Heard on the radio today the Illinois Republican party is asking for donations to the party & in turn you will receive coupons for food at Chick Fil A....good idea huh? Problem is, there are none to be found anywhere near me.

CFA would be wise to not report their sales figures and let the GLAAD folk keep it up, thinking that their attacks are working. You cannot buy this kind of publicity and support.

I suspect that Wednesday will be the biggest day ever for Chick—I plan on furnishing at least 10 sandwiches, 10 fries and desserts for the company.

Yeah. For sure. I want them to keep it up. The more they protest, the more the disconnected and asleep wake up.

Why they keep poking a sleeping bear is beyond me. The occupation is beyond delusional.
