With Daniel Craig's big entrance as James Bond at the Olympic opening ceremony last Friday, the full trailer for November's Bond film, "Skyfall," arrived right on time.

Movie critics and fans were buzzing Tuesday as the two-and-a-half minute clip revealed more of the plot, plus a blond Javier Bardem as the villain Silva and Ben Whishaw as Q.

If the movie's half as good as the trailer, this one's a blockbuster!

And, hey, Q's back ...

Looks good. I prefer the new, more realistic Bond films to the campy older ones. I’m probably in the minority here at FR on that though.

I’m sure it will be good but I know I will have to read the Movie Spoiler website http://www.themoviespoiler.com/ to fill in the gaps. I’m saying the movie will be convoluted with lots of action to gloss over the plots incoherence

BTW Prometheus DVD will be a directors cut adding 30 minutes which should fill in the incoherence of that movie. Out October 15th or so. I have avoided Prometheus on purpose until this longer version comes out

A James Bond hallmark! :-) But I'm a big fan anyway!

Anything with Charlize Theron is good.

Thanks, AM ... Wondered if that excerpt was too long; guess it was!

As far as the characters...yes. Less cheesy lines and a little darker. Of course he should be dead multiple times.

Daniel Craig is the best Bond ever.

Second only to Connery, IMHO.

I'll second that e-motion. This is the first series of Bond films I actually enjoyed watching start-to-finish.

He always looks creepy to me. He should have gone with the Dutch Boy paint haircut he had in No Country for Old Men.

Craig and Connery are my 1 and 2. It’s had to compare them since the characters are so different to me.

I like it.

But I liked the Quantum of Solace clips too. Turns out all the action scenes in QOS were just little clips.

It looks exhausting to watch. Roger Moore had it much easier in Moonraker.

The plot: go to visit the villain Drax, and have sex with his copter pilot, and get her to betray Drax . After she is killed and eaten by Drax' dogs, go to Rio, and have sex with the MI6 station intern. After she is nearly strangled by Jaws, fly to Venice and have sex with your CIA counterpart. That's 3 conquests before he even goes into space!

In Casino Royale, poor Daniel Craig had to endure a brutal stairwell brawl with a machete-wielding hitman, suffer a nearly-fatal drug-induced heart-attack, and have his balls beaten raw with a bean bag by Le Chiffre - all before he gets any tail at all!

Oh, James!

I’m not sure if it really exists, but they had a similar gun in License to Kill that was keyed to Bond’s fingerprints, so it’s not a new idea.
