The Cathy family has a foundation that runs half a dozen different organizations . I don’t remember them all, but they include a foster child program, and a camp program and, I think, some kind of educational program.
They should do whatever they please with it. It’s theirs.
Give it away to charity? I say BS to that! They earned it fair and square and they should keep it.
From what I’ve seen today, while their sales may be very high, the profit margin may not be as high. They had to bring in extra staff, are going through a lot more inventory, and at least in the one close to my office, were renting tents and such to help workers outside keep the line moving. They were also giving away drinks to people waiting in line- eating into the profit.
I think you should donate all your income to me.
I think your sentiments are well-intentioned. But I must agree with the others — CFA is a business, and the point of a business is to make a profit. If a bunch of politically-correct queers want to help CFA make a profit, I say let ‘em.
I hope they try and build a couple of stores in Chicago and Boston!

What are you talking about? They have a business, they pay taxes, in essence giving back to the community. They have payroll to make. Let them do what THEY want with their profits. None of any ones damn business how their profits are spent. And, I’m a business owner.

Of course the real thanks should go to those young people who were hit in the butt with a crowd and from all reports, stood up to the challenge with professionalism and politeness, which, of course, is what they are supposed to do. My Granddaughter worked for them in Jr and Sr year of HS. Apparently enough of me ‘rubbed off’ on my daughter and SIL as when cars etc come into the picture, start up help is given but it is up to the kids to maintain, tag and insure.

This is what a ‘start up’ job is supposed to do, build character and prepare one for the real ups and downs that life will thrust upon them.

Just my personal opinion, but the so-called non-profits should try to be self sustainable and not expect handouts. It is not popular to say this, but there is a lot of waste in these non-profits (beggars) who use pity and feed on emotions, rather than ingenuity and entrepreneurship.

Although I think that Mr. Cathy, and it sounds like most of the franchise owners are like-minded, are probably not so concerned about the profits they are making today as they are about the statement that so many Americans are making today.
And I did see the post where the OP says to donate FRIDAY’s profits (as a way to mess with the protestor’s heads). Although I’m not sure how much, if any, the kissing protestors will actually be buying.
