I know, I would be a zombie even getting up at 4:45 - no way I could dress without at least a cup of coffee first.

So I just saw the clip of bammy claiming Romney is going to raise taxes on the middle class by $2000 a year to give the ultra rich (over 3 mil) a tax break. Why the heck haven't the Conservatives laughed in their faces instead of giving the tepid response?

i realized recently that i used to know Sarah Steelman’s sister. one of xsbaby’s best friends from elementary school was Travis, and his aunt is Sarah Steelman. Travis went to both Oakwood and then to Commonwealth Academy for a year or two with xsbaby. He was the one who brought in the Bush yard sign to taunt their dem teacher with back in 4th grade or so! xsbaby has always had at least one conservative friend to bond with in her class, luckily.

The hysterical ‘rat rhetoric
Just keeps getting more brazen
But they don’t seem aware at all
Of the questions they are raisin’

Lunatic Nancy is out chattering
With blank eyes and a botox face-
She looks like she’s doing LSD
And looking for a rabbit to chase

Vegas Harry talks about tax returns
With only a mythical source at hand
Stop the world-I want to get off-
This is too much craziness to stand...

Love the botox reference! bammy’s minions do sound desperate - I think the lack of funds compared to Romney’s is making them insane! (more insane, insaner?)

I wear hiking/construction boots pretty much every day-when I work, and when I hike-very comfortable, even the steel-toed ones I wear.

That said, I had a pair of those awful ankle breaker shoes just like Sarah’s in the 70’s-I wore them (with a mini-dress) on a date to the Folklife Festival, where I tripped over someone’s foot in the crowd at a beer booth and fell. My fiance grabbed my arm, and went and rolling down a grassy embankment with me. We stopped at the bottom unhurt, me with my dress over my head. Never, ever wore platform shoes or heels to an outdoor event again...

I got that phrase years ago from the title of a play-I’ve been using it ever since in response to complete insanity.

From the way they are acting, I think some of them are on the verge of a psychotic episode-but Nancy really does remind me of someone on an acid trip-all that is missing are bare feet, a tie-dyed skirt and a crown of flowers on her head...

I believe you are correct-my brother was the one who started saying it first, and I picked up on it.

She is all San Fran Nan now, but believe it or not, she’s an italian-american from baltimore, MD, originally.

How interesting-she has certainly been corrupted by the San Fran LaLa Land madness, but that has been happening to people since the late 60’s-must be something in the water...

Oh man, I think we all have horror stories from platform shoes, but I have to admit, rolling down a hill with your dress over your head definitely beats any trip/fall story I experienced. I’m embarrassed for you!

Hell, I’m still embarrassed for me every time I think of it, even after all this time...

Discovered these chips at Wegman's last week and they are literally the best storebought chips we have encountered. They approximate in goodness, the Uncle Julio's chips at the Rio Grande cafe, which are the best, in our opinion, locally.

Don't knock it until you've tried it.

And YouTube it as well so we can weigh in...
