Where is the outrage over "outrageous" food prices?

....the Obama campaign is trying hard to "reach out" to women -- ....with false claims about the GOP's plans to take away contraception.... But for women who are really paying attention, this should raise some eyebrows: As the graphic below illustrates, grocery prices have risen 15% just since the start of President Obama's term.

Inflation rate does not count food or fuel. I say BS!

Both the total inflation rate and the "core" rate without food or fuel are calculated and published monthly. What is important that month is decided by the MSM, but both numbers are available.

Don’t get me started on that. I was in the checkout line and this girl in front of me whipped out a Georgia Peach card or whatever in the he!! it is called and paid for her food like it was nothing. I counted out change and dollar bills for mine. The country givng free American paid-for benefits to illegals is criminal at the very least. And did GWB overlook the illegal immigration issue as a courtesy to his brother and sister-in-law? Doesn’t he have a mexican SIL?

‘Give me your tired, your poor, your felonious huddled masses, yearning to live free at the expense of exhausted American taxpayers tired of living below their station so others who don’t belong here can live in the lap of luxury.’

spits...

The damned government is insistent upon trying to make these deadbeats feel good about themselves. They won't dare put proper purchasing guidelines in place so that they must shop frugally.

I want to see a special aisle at the store for food stamp patrons. All generic items and no "high end" products.

I fully believe Romney would win an additional 10 to 20 percent of the vote if he would stand outside grocery stores with a jar of peanut butter, a pound of fish and three tomatoes (or arugula :-!), leaving a visible price tag on each. Simply ask regular, everyday housewives how they feed their family with prices so high. What are they having to do without to put food on the table?

Talk about "connecting to regular folks"! That would do it!

Why do they get luxury food items? Why don’t they get flour, rice, sugar, coffee and make their own dadgum food?

It is not like they have to work around a job or anything.

Surely they can get cooking lessons on that free cable tv we are paying for.

Or call someone to get cooking tips on that free cellphone we are paying for.

And cook in that kitchen we are paying for compliments of Section 8 housing.

Using all that charity money being extorted from taxpayers to pay for unfettered breeding of a generation of illegitimate spawn.

I stopped going to Food for Less here because every single time I went in I wound up behind some Mexican chick with at least 4 kids using WIC. WIC takes at least 4 times longer to process than a regular order.
By the time I would get to the register I would be fuming and would tell the cashier....you need a special line for those people. I just quit going.

Heaven forbid you make them feel like less than fully entitled citizens! I found out this week I have to change doctors after 6 years. He doesn't take the new insurance my company had to go to when Blue Cross went up 80% in the two years since Obamacare passed. I asked him if he took Medicaid patients. Yes, he does.

So, I'm stuck with a less-than-perfect insurance policy that costs 45% more than I paid for a high-end policy 2 years ago and it doesn't allow me to see my old doctors.

I pay for mine and get crap, they get it free and get high-end! Aaaaargh!

“I never could figure that one out either. I wonder what the REAL inflation rate would be if they were counted in?”

Oh, 13, 14, 15 percent.

Just look back at the Carter years...

In all fairness, it was right after the first Arab Oil Embargo (with the resulting zoom-up of fuel prices) that we saw inflation begin to take off. The West could have stopped this at once, by threat of military invasion of the Arab nations to “turn the spigots back on”. But it backed away, taught the Muslims that we could be rolled, and the rest is history...

Just don't get sick and expect to see those new doctors anytime soon. When I call to make an appointment, they typically say there is an opening in three weeks. I tell them that I'll either be better or dead by then. And you know what? They really don't freaking care.

Just a clue for the writer. They better be careful saying that only woman shop for food and would be concerned with higher food prices.
In 1955 that would be a good way to focus. But in 2012; men and woman both buy food!

My take on the lib’s statement is that he believes “PRICE CONTROLS” are the answer.

THAT is the “regulation” he wants in place.

Obama would be happy to tell the butcher what he’s allowed to charge for a steak.....
Oh...and don’t worry about the costs to the butcher, as those costs will be capped by gov’t also...
Woe be to anyone making more than minimum wage along the way!

... We keep being told that the inflation rate doesn't include food or fuel and we're expected to be good little children, go back to our corner and quit noticing the cost of stuff! ...

Rather ironic that the Fed uses core inflation to measure the effectiveness of it's monetary policy.

“Romney needs to fire that worthless, feckless excuse of a campaign director RIGHT NOW! That is, if he’s really interested in having even the dimmest flicker of hope of winning in November. “

The blue line on the graph represents inflation as measured when all the 'improvements' that suppress inflation are removed:

Thus the urgency to get as many folks on food stamps as possible.

Republicans want to take your food stamps away.
