Lost Our Cat Today
Vanity

Posted on 08/12/2012 12:57:52 PM PDT by mkmensinger

I don't do many vsnities, but we lost our cat Orphan today to Cystitis. We had him just a year (he came to us as an adult), but he brought joy to us during his time here. We'll miss him greatly.

Sorry to hear of your loss. It’s tough when you lose a pet.

I feel for you. I had a much beloved kitty - himalayan color, puffball tail - had cystitis & we went through quite a bit of pain together before I had to let him go. I still cry over that dear heart.

We have five kitties now & we have one old lady of 18 with an inoperable tumor on a foreleg. This is probably her last summer, so she gets all the treats she wants. It’s too bad their life spans are so much shorter than ours!

a lot of times when that happens, folks will post a little flyer on the telephone pole that says, “lost cat.”

Have loved many Kitties, and lost too many
Have a cat now with partial kidney failure from cystitis...

Crawls on lap, needs head rubs and kitty treats

Not looking forward to what is likely to come soon

Sorry to hear that FRiend.

I’ve only had one myself, but he was my buddy for about 3 years. I’d always favored dogs but a rain-soaked month old little orange tabby in the driveway was hard to turn away.

R.I.P, Orphan

That happened to me last year. My 15 year old cat was missing for 3 weeks. Turns out she was in the garage of a family that lived two blocks away. Luckily she was wearing a collar with my telephone number on it.

From what I've read cats don't generally wander too far away. Put up posters and knock on the doors of people within a 5 block circle.

Good luck. I know how much it hurts.
