At least 20 people — including a 15-year-old boy shot during an armed robbery attempt — were wounded in weekend shootings across the city.
The bloodiest single shooting since Friday night happened in the South Side Englewood neighborhood about 6:35 p.m. Saturday when four men were shot in a gas station parking lot, police said.
The four men — all in their 20s and 30s — were all listed in good or “stable” condition at area hospitals early Sunday, despite two of them suffering gunshot wounds to the chest, police said.
Police are seeking a shooter or shooters who fired from a small black vehicle, and no one is in custody early Sunday, police said.
The youngest victim was a 15-year-old boy shot by an armed robber early Saturday in the South Side Calumet Heights neighborhood, police said. He was walking down the 9300 block of South Anthony Avenue at 12:45 a.m. when a stranger pointed a handgun at him and announced a robbery.
The boy was shot in the leg while running away, police said. He was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital in good condition.

I notice there’s a body count of shootings in Chicago quite often. I wonder what the total murder count is each night (not just shootings).
It’s obvious that the media only focuses on shootings for one reason. They have an objective.

I wonder if black racists are still going into white areas to shoot and beat up people? The media has stopped covering those attacks but that does not mean they have stopped.
This is black on black crime predominantly and; therefore, falls under a different category of gun violence called “gun violence that is incompatible with the overall democratic memetic and is therefore inconvenient to Barack Obama”. Now, if 20-30 people had been killed by a lone white guy, instead of multiple black guys, and this lone white guy was equipped with scary looking semiautomatic weapons and, possibly, crazy looking orange hair, it would fall into the “compatible with the overall democratic memetic and therefore convenient to Barack Obama” category especially if somehow the gun control issue could be injected in such a way so as to further divide the left from the right such that Barack Obama might receive a few extra votes in a swing state come November.

It looks like GSWs account for the vast majority of Chicago homicides which really screws up the liberal argument for gun control considering that Chicago has some of the toughest gun laws in America. Doesn't matter to Rahm though, he's pushing for more restrictions as if that will solve anything.

Glad that Chicago DID NOT get the 2016 summer olympics, instead it going to Rio.
Maybe it is time for the devout African American Christian grandmothers to start standing up to the youth of that city saying not in our city.
