He could be hustled by helicopter to a waiting Ecuadoran aricraft carrier in the Channel or North Sea.

Just so the thread knows, the "Ecuadorian Embassy In Great Britain" is a third floor apartment on Hans Crescent in Kensington.

On Google Maps it looks as if it were a two or three bedroom apartment converted into an office/living space for the Ambassador.

It's not like the mansion he was staying in before this - it's quite cramped.

Supposedly he has lots of incriminating docs and was able to blackmail officials in Ecuador into going along with this.

If that is the case he can likely blackmail them into granting him Citizenship and Diplomat status, at which point this would turn into a very sticky wicket for the Brits.

He could try sneaking out through the sewers, it fits his character to a 'tee'.

Remember the original Mission Impossible? They had whole head masks made that made one person look exactly like someone else. Get him a “new face” temporarily, dress him up in a suit, give him a briefcase, and let him walk right out.

Why do I already see Matt Damon signed on to star in the movie “Julian” with Sean Penn playing his love interest?

“Have 50 look-alikes enter the embassy. Have them all run out at the same time in different directions.”

That’s called a target rich environment.

"The Brits have already warned Ecuador that they will come in after him if they do not surrender him “soon”. There is precedent, they busted into the Iranian embassy in 1980 to extricate the killer of a British policewoman."

Before they do that the should get all the Brits out of Ecuador. Rafael Correa is pretty crazy. I don't doubt for a moment that he would seize the British Embassy and hold the Ambassador and staff. Countries like Venezuela and Argentina would back Ecuador. Britain needs another way to finesse this IMO.

The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is a United States federal law enforcement agency. In fiscal year 2010, the U.S. Marshals arrested more than 36,100 federal fugitive felons – more than all other law enforcement agencies combined.

Working with authorities at the federal, state, and local levels, U.S. Marshals-led fugitive task forces arrested more than 81,000 state and local fugitives, clearing 108,200 state and local felony warrants.

The Marshals Service is the primary agency responsible for tracking and extraditing fugitives who are apprehended in foreign countries and wanted for prosecution in the United States. The U.S. Marshals Service, which has statutory responsibility for all international, federal and state extraditions, sees to it that there is no safe haven for criminals who flee the territorial boundaries of the United States.
