We had more than a frisson of excitement last night with the barking dog and the storm. We were up most of the night trying to keep him calm. I’m going for heavier sedation next time, which might be later today.

Poor family too! Honestly, the next step is the citronella collar. We cannot sedate him early enough for it to take effect before storms arrive because they pop up so quickly this time of year. Also, a big leader branch came down from the redbud out front so my work for the day is to start cutting the tree down and digging it out this weekend.

"Soup's on" as they say. My first wife and I had an interesting sleigh ride but one thing I must say about her is that she made an excellant vegetable soup from scratch - the woman was a wizard in the kitchen.
