Another thing in looking back that was funny, is that other pretty moms, when no one else could here, would ask us kids: “So tell me, how old is your mom?”. I tell ya, certain moms would never give up, and we’d never give in. Every once in a while when I’d get sick of their sleazy little envy game I’d say: “I’m pretty sure she’s younger than you.”. ;-)
Ugh. Here=hear. I saw that I had written her and for some stupid reason put an e on it in misreading my sentence.
When I was going to Whittier High School, one of the students owned a large French-built car from the 1920's and always drove it to school. He said that the Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass contacted him about buying the car, apparently to use as their Tijuana Taxi. However, he turned them down, as he did several other offers.
