Herb Alpert's 'Whipped Cream Lady' now 76, living in Longview and looking back

LOL yes she did, RedMonqey. We'd make just hideous contorted faces--we'd all try to out-contort the other--and my mom would laugh at us. Then we'd burst out laughing at her laughing at us, then the jerk-leer guys would sometimes smile or laugh then too.

Then we'd all just continue on our way.... ;-)

I miss those days...can't ever get them back. :-(

Another thing in looking back that was funny, is that other pretty moms, when no one else could here, would ask us kids: “So tell me, how old is your mom?”. I tell ya, certain moms would never give up, and we’d never give in. Every once in a while when I’d get sick of their sleazy little envy game I’d say: “I’m pretty sure she’s younger than you.”. ;-)

Herb Alpert & Tijuana Brass - Tijuana Taxi

When I was going to Whittier High School, one of the students owned a large French-built car from the 1920's and always drove it to school. He said that the Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass contacted him about buying the car, apparently to use as their Tijuana Taxi. However, he turned them down, as he did several other offers.
