ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

All for themselves and their control. God help us to make it through all of this crappola. I feel sorry for young parents, many of whom will not challenge these nazi’s, because they are easily intimidated by authority.

How much longer before they come up with one that scans that handy little 666 on the forehead or the right hand so that you can buy and sell?

I didn’t hear them say, so I’m wondering if it’s the right palm?

Link to the associated story:

A local elementary school is trying to implement a new program in their cafeteria. But the palm vein scanner is being met with much opposition from Moss Bluff Elementary parents.

"I was very, very mad," said parent Mamie Sonnier. "Disappointed."

Many parents felt that way on Monday after reading a letter sent home with their children from Moss Bluff Elementary School. The letter introduced a new program, the palm vein scanner, to move students through the lunch line at a faster rate. With almost 1,000 students, Principal Charles Caldarera says the system will reduce errors.

"We are so large," said Caldarera. "With an elementary school, they all come through line, and most of them eat here. It would make us more efficient and more accurate. We've had parents complain in the past, because they felt like their children weren't eating, that we assigned them a charge for the day, and they might have been right."

Caldarera says the school is acting on a recommendation from school food service director Patricia Hosemann. But he says the letter gives parents an option.

"We sent this letter home for parents to be aware of it, and to let them know that they can opt out," said Caldarera. "They can opt out and say, hey, I don't want my child involved in it. That's quite alright. It won't make any difference. The children will still be able to eat in the cafeteria."

Sonnier says she's against the palm vein scanner because of her beliefs.

"As a Christian, I've read the Bible, you know go to church and stuff," said Sonnier. "I know where it's going to end up coming to, the mark of the beast. I'm not going to let my kids have that."

Caldarera says a lot of parents agree with her, but he says it's just technology.

"I think a lot of this has to do with religious beliefs," said Caldarera. "I think some people feel it's something with the Bible, mark of the beast. It's technology that is used throughout our lives. Everywhere."

He says the system isn't on campus yet, so students' palms won't be scanned any time soon. But Sonnier says if the program comes to campus, her children aren't participating and won't be around it either.

"I'd probably pull them out of the school, and transfer them to another school," said Sonnier.

Caldarera says they are trying to implement the program as soon as possible, but if you are a parent and don't want your child to participate, you must contact the school by Wednesday.

Not sure where the "mark of the beast" comes from. Unless they are putting a mark on the children...?

It seems it's a palm print scanner. While I would not want my child's palm print anywhere on any govt computer calling it the "mark of the beast" is absurd. Unless you consider your own child's palm print the "mark".

+1. It’s just an automated ID technique. They could as effectively — but not as efficiently — use a simple ID card.

The article says parents can opt out. So if it disturbs one, they should just opt out.

It’s sad that our schools have degenerated into what they are, but it’s not quite 666 time yet.

Parents should opt out of all government schools. The “mark of the Beast” is put on their children every day when any mention of God is forbidden by government authorities who run the schools.

Then we wonder why children are so screwed up, and their lives turn out so terribly wrong.

Methinks you miss the point.

While I agree that it is not the mark, it’s certainly on the road to conditioning people to accept scanners and paying for things electronically that way.

It’s the frog in the pot of water thing.

You should look to these things with anxious expectation.

These technologies are indeed paving the way for the prophesied anti-Christ to come to power and rule on the earth. Concepts like “everyone on earth shall see” and “the mark without which you can’t buy or sell” couldn’t have been implemented on this earth without these advanced technologies.

These things MUST come to pass and WILL come to pass. We are not to fight them. I see a lot of people saying “you shouldn’t do that [because that ushers in the kingdom of the anti-Christ], or, “we shouldn’t let that happen”. That’s not the right way to look at it. It WILL happen. That’s the long and short of it.

Look up, for your redemption is nigh!

It’s funny. I see a lot of people fighting the end times stuff with the thinking that we can change things and keep it from happening, but we can’t and even if we could, you can’t forestall it forever.

Some generation is going to have to be the one to live through the end times stuff and it seems that nobody wants to be it.

But everything, including us, is in God’s hands. Our outward circumstances will get dire, but our hope and strength is in the Lord, not anything else. We all die and will someday stand before God and what’s important is being prepared for that.

I also agree that we’re in the end times and a lot for the reason you stated, the technology allows for much of what is foretold to be able to happen. People can argue over Israel becoming a nation and how long a generation is, but the things you mentioned can only happen with the technology we now have.

Our knowledge has outpaced our ability to wisely use it. IMO, disaster is inevitable unless God intervenes.

Psalm 42:5

Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

Those who know the Lord will be strong, as prophesied in Daniel, and resist the MotB. We’re not there - yet.

But getting close to it happening.

“I didn’t hear them say, so I’m wondering if it’s the right palm?”

It would have to be the right palm, - there may be Muslim students and the left palm might have certain, mmmmn “resides”.

Think scanning errors AND communicable diseases.

Thank you so much for posting this, metmom!

The conditioning for the tribulation is in full swing and the conditioning will work the best on those who think nothing is happening.
