Even though Obamacare does not actually kick in until next year, President Obama’s new campaign video takes credit for helping a whole lot of people – including cancer patients who apparently would have died without him.
Glenn played the remarkable audio on radio this morning:
PRESIDENT OBAMA: Four years ago as I had the privilege to travel all across this country, meet Americans from all walks of life, I decided nobody else should have to endure the heartbreak of a broken healthcare system. No one in the wealthiest nation on Earth should go broke because they get sick. Nobody should have to tell their daughters or sons the decisions they can and cannot make for themselves, are constrained because of some politicians in Washington. Thanks to you we made a difference in people’s lives. Thanks to you there are folks that I meet today who have gotten care and their cancer has been caught and they’ve gotten treatment and they are living full lives and it happened because of you.
“Stop,” Glenn shouted after hearing the video. “ObamaCare doesn’t kick in until next year! Who are you meeting that is now getting care – it must be on the old system because your system doesn’t even start.”
Considering the only part of Obamacare that has really kicked in is the taxes, it is pretty remarkable that people are already being cured of their diseases thanks to the President’s policies.
“So are the taxes curing their cancer,” Stu joked.
Beyond the blatant absurdities of Obama’s claims, the real hypocrisy is that Mitt Romney has been blamed for causing a woman’s death seven years after she was laid off from her job, but the President gets credit for saving people’s lives one year before his healthcare legislation takes full affect. “One heals before the doctor even shows up,” Glenn said. “I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything like it.”

As a survivor myself whose disease was caught by the test and whose father died of prostate cancer before the test was widely available, I can tell Baraq and Sebelius to kiss my @ss.

Sorry, but wasn’t it just a couple of months ago that free pap smears went into effect? I remember my idiot liberal cousin bleating about it on Facebook.
Actually, it was August 1 that the mandate for insurance companies to cover birth control and cancer screenings for no co-pay kicked in.
That may be. I’m not sure, although I have seen a commercial where an elderly man says thanks to o-care screening he’ll be around for the birth of his grandchild. I always thought Medicare took care of screenings for the elderly. Guess not.
But he thing is, there are clinics that have offered free or reduced screenings for years - nothing to do with the zero or his o-care.
We have one in our community that has been operating for 12 years that was set up and is staffed by a group of retired and other physicians and nurses volunteering their “spare” time - not looking for any accolades. These people are heroes to me.
