A Memphis-area mother is facing aggravated assault charges after attacking her sons’ little league football coach with a baseball bat. According to the no-nonsense mother, the coach had molested her sons and, upon seeing him, she simply couldn’t control herself.
The New York Daily News relates:
“I didn’t intend to do whatever I did to him,” said [Lakeshia Richmond]. “I apologize, but I don’t apologize for what happened to my kids.”
She claimed one of her sons told her Saturday that [Tony Massey] touched him inappropriately. “I said, ‘was it just you?’ and he said ‘no, it was some more kids,’” she told WREG.
Later Saturday, she saw Massey walking alone and grabbed the bat from the trunk of her car.
“When I see him, I see my kids being hurt and that’s all I see,” Richmond said.
Cops found Massey “shirtless and bleeding from the head and face,” according to WMC-TV, and later arrested Richmond on charges of aggravated assault.
Massey has not been arrested but police are reportedly investigating the abuse allegations. He remains in the hospital in serious condition.

I’ll high-five the mom if the acusations are true. But what if the Son was PO’d at the coach and made up the story to get him in trouble...
What’s the basis for saying that is allowed in this nation? She’s being charged with a crime, isn’t she?
The police should drop the charges.
They will NEVER get a conviction.

If it turns out he’s guilty of molestation...then she went way too easy on him.
Just read all of the comments from morons that are giving her kudos for doing this based on nothing but an accusation.
I’d like to say “not guilty” but there’s a chance the mom made it all up to cover her butt for attempted murder.
While you are doing that, there is a lesbian that was tortured in Nebraska by three white christian conservative (heck likely one of the people on FR) that would also like to have a drink bought for her.
You see, she also had a terrible crime allegedly committed against her too based on an accusation.
Evidence, and a fair trial, are so passe in 2012 especially if you are a kid , black or gay.
So a kid says the coach touched him inappropriately and you are wondering what is the best kind of bat to savagely assault someone with. You also as a juror you have no problem deciding upon guilt or innocence based on an accusation that has not been proven. I try to be optimistic about the future of our country and humans in general, but people like you make it very difficult.
Any kid can accuse any adult of “innappropriate touching” and get them arrested. We know a of a woman who with a 10 year old daughter who claimed the father was touching her. He was arrested that evening. The next day the fathers brother moved in.

We have these quaint things in this country called "trials", and this foolish notion called "rule of law".

From what I understand, you might have molested a kid just last year.
This is what I was told.
Now remember, we dont have due-process for this type of stuff because we cant risk it.

I disagree. There is little, if any, chance the child molest allegations would be allowed into evidence in any trial against the mother on assault or battery charges.
She DID “investigate”!
She asked “Was it just you?”.
Kid said, “No, there were others”.
