I know that “beautiful” is a pretty subjective word. So I only have a couple of thoughts.
Only one of the most beautiful cars ever built was built before 1960? Sorry, but to me that makes the whole top ten list look silly.
Then a top ten list that does not include the original Studebaker Avanti? Sheesh

Unfortunate choice of photo for the Continental Mark II. I’ve never seen one rodded and lowered like that, and it doesn’t work, imho.

There’s a metallic steel blue factory paint color with a maroon and off white leather interior that looks best on it, imho. The door jambs were chrome plated steel on all of them, they spared no expense.

The a/c was odd, with two large, clear plexi tubes sticking up off the back parcel shelf at the rear window. All Lincolns with a/c had them at the time.

I agree with you on the Challenger for sure....not in the class of the others.

Meanwhile, kick myself everyday for passing on a 69 Ferrari 365GTB at a great price. It came between a house downpayment or the car and I opted not to live in my car.

It looked even better with “Honky Lips” painted on the side.

This is gorgeous. I had a fire engine red new 1986. I loved that car. I should have kept it.

Delahaye did some stunning rolling sculpture. A few were sort of peculiar as “car” but gorgeous as an art object. An odd way to look at it, very French.

That’s sacrelidge!!!!! No way does a Yugo compare with the car that put America on wheels, or the highest selling car (over 25 million) in history!!!!

I'd submit the 2002 Porsche Carerra coupe w/the big spoiler.
A vast improvement over the earlier 911s (and I happen to have one in my garage with less than 17,000 miles.)

I love that car!! I had a 1970 Torino GT when I was in high school. Lots of good memories from that car.

Except for the Challenger (a shout-out to the liberal Hippy production of “Vanishing Point”), all the cars listed are or were expensive—what about the Mustangs,Camaros and GTOs?

Smooth lines, speed and financial accessibility to the average Joe—especially the inventive shade tree amateur mechanics who like to tease extra horsepower out of their rides—made the American car—before the Leftist fascist tyranny of federal commands on fuel economy and pollution—both the aesthetic and macho envy of the world.

My second car was a dark arctic blue 1969 Triumph GT6+—more or less a hard top Spitfire—and she was prettier than all listed—to me at any rate.
