I’m still trying to figure out how MSNBC even is ALLOWED at the RNC.

I love watching MSNBC talking heads. Idiots on parade.

Why give MSNBC a ratings boost by watching?

I’ve been listening since 7p.m. to PBS. They’ve actually let us hear the speakers, for the most part. When the pundits had to weigh in, they were demolished by their GOP guests, Newt and a series of brilliant governors who had their facts straight. I’ve only shouted at the TV a little bit, which is a big thing for me.

Newt was on PBS?

Absolutely. Newt rocked. The PBS panel is still wondering what happened to them. Governors from Wyoming and Iowa were outstanding. Looked the panel in the eye, told God’s honest truth and watched Mark Shields’, Judy Woodruff’s and Gwen Ifill’s heads explode. Token alleged conservative David Brooks of the NY Times looked perplexed.

So glad we have no cable and were spared the MSNBC bilge. We had speakers all night for four hours, with short pundit/guest breaks.

Chrissie says Christie was the loudmouth Irishman like Ralph Kramden (or krandum as Sharpton said and then misquoted RK). The Honeymooners never mentioned their nationality. What county in Ireland is Kramden a popular name?
You can abuse Christie all you want, but don’t bring Ralph Kramden into your commentary. I like Ralph.

I’m watching C-Span1, no commentators, just all the speeches, videos, & etc without interruption or commentaters

Me, too!! The only way to hold down my blood pressure.... even the picture was better on C-Span - the camera seemed to have a tighter shot of the speakers...

With rights go responsibilities - every adult in the United States should be required to watch every hour of both the Republican and the ‘rat conventions on C-Span, and anyone missing more than one full day of both conventions should not be allowed to vote - by November ‘pubs would be polling about 75% in all contests, IMO.......

We also watched C-SPAN tonight. It was very peaceful and we could actually concentrate on the speeches without watching Meghan Kelly tittering on about nothing.

Indeed. I love C-SPAN on convention coverage but they respect the viewer’s intelligence, i.e., they let the convention speakers speak for themselves minus the editorial interpretations.

For a moment, I watched Buddy Holley Rachael MadCow talk about Anne Romney's speach and it was the most unprofessional, filled with personal emotional opinion against Anne Romney, press review I've ever seen. Even Chris Mathews was getting a trickle down his leg, squirming in his seat trying to listen to her without laughing. Chris even stated his disagreement with her review. Comic relief at it's best. The worst of reporters.
