I guess Mark is mad that Romney is not a puritanical Reaganite.

Not exactly.

He won’t hurt the military.

He won’t bow to the robed enemy.

He won’t abandon Israel in her hour of need.

Oh.....he doesn’t eat dogs, either.

David Stockman has admitted that Reaganomics was a failure.

Well, Ryan has already given up his budget and is deferring to Romney. There goes any hope for tea party ideas from the White House. Romney is a Keynesian who believes more stimulus spending will be necessary to save our free-economy. Free-economy saved by big government? Now there’s an oxymoron for you. Mostly moron. And more like a donkey than an ox. Don’t let your guard down.

I really hate to quote Jesse Jackson, but I will not give up hope on Paul Ryan.

Failure?

I was a young man then, and made TONS of money. Just TONS.

Stockman suddenly got put on my Benedict Arnold Shit List for that column. I didn’t know that. Thanks.

Puritanical? Sheesh, I’d be happy if [Romney] were just a Republican

Sadly, Jim, he is -- in the current manifestation of that terribly broken party, that is.

Some people are giving the GOP and Romney the rope to hang them with. This is why we have corrupt politicans; people won’t call them out when their wrong-just like the democrats. No one should complain about democrats when republicans act just like them.

Yes. I know a conservative who is so angry about Reagan not keeping his promise in tearing apart the DOE—she can’t even mention his name——that alone would have helped SAVE millions of children’s minds from the Marxist brainwashing machine.

The public schools and the media-—he helped with ending the Fairness Doctrine-—but he really goofed in allowing our vulnerable children to be shaped by the likes of Billy Ayers-—and his type who are writing the curricula for decades for our schools.

Such an utter shame-——we could have millions of more “thinking” conservatives, if Reagan would have unleashed the Jackboot on the necks of our children.

Such a shame-—he had the chance to do it, but caved!!!!! and lost another two generations of children.

Reagan would be shredded as a candidate by many FReepers today.
Without a doubt.

Reagan and romney should not be mentioned on the same page. Reagan kept his promises and did not lie when he said he was 100% pro-life and traditional family. Reagan did not lie to win the primary, only to flip back to the liberal he used to be. Reagan was a pro-life, pro-family, Christian conservative. The gop and romney would akin him if they could because he was the real thing; a true conservative. Romney is all about romney. Reagan was about doing what is right, even when he was attacked for it.

Reagan and romney should not be mentioned on the same page.

Reagan actually legalised abortion back in California in 1969, with his signature, do I hate him, no.

He may have started a bad precedent, which the Supreme Court verified with the outrageous Roe V. Wade verdict, but Reagan later on was a very pro-life advocate.

I guess Mark is more concerned with his “intellectual” influence with a future administration he has burned bridges with, than actually getting rid of Obama electorally.
///
1) Your statement is OUTRIGHT DISHONEST.
Mr Levin has made it VERY clear, that he will PERSONALLY vote for Mitt Romney. AND support him.
...in spite of the fact, that Romney seems to be doing everything he can, to alienate and divide the GOP, and drive away Tea Party and social conservatives.

2) you Sir, are a hypocrite. you demand perfection from Akins. Yet you criticise Mark, for wishing that Romney was even a LITTLE bit conservative... instead of a “moderate” at best (and outright liberal on many issues !)

3) Romney is a “moderate”. A flip flopper. who was CHOSEN for the GOP, BY THE LIBERAL MEDIA.
(JUST as they did McCain. remember how the MEDIA kept reporting Romney “wins” like in Iowa ?)

4) Romney will do NOTHING about illegal immigration. NOTHING about the ethanol subsidy and “global warming” hoax. NOTHING about abortion. NOTHING about creeping sharia. and if he does get rid of Obamacare, it will only be to replace it with HIS version of national Romneycare!

5) yet, Mr Levin, is STILL going to help defeat Obama, and support Romney. And all you can do, is criticise Levin even speaking his conscience, about important issues like ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION?!?

Well since you are a perfectionist, it's not "Akins", but Todd Akin.

Second, Todd Akin has been quiet and not talking about rape and abortion, and he is up in the polls.

Tell Todd to focus on Claire McCaskill, and not the imaginary GOP-e, and he will win.

oh, and don’t forget... that it is homosexual men, who do 99.99% of molesting boys... like the guy at Penn State.
...
and WHO supports letting homosexuals be boy scout LEADERS... and be alone and in close contact with boys?

MITT ROMNEY.

sure, many gay men, are nice, and responsible.
but if Romney can’t see WHY that is a bad idea...

do you really want to trust him, with the future of ALL our children?
seriously?
yes, Obama is still worse. yes, we will hold our nose and vote for Romney.
... but if people like you, want us to be slaves to Romney, and keep silent about our principles...
...
then we might as well just keep Obama !!!

Attacking Todd Akin, not supporting a more conservative candidate in the primaries, bad-mouthing Obama Eligibility people (birthers)....was Levin ever really a conservative?

GOP Talk Radio would have attacked Reagan if it was around in 1980 and 1984

I just get tired of the idelogical wars.

You use language like "Puritanical Reaganite", and then tell us that you're tired of ideological wars. That is LOL funny.

Reagan would have been shredded by these new Romney rule changes. If they had been in place, we would have had Bush Sr. as the republican nominee in 1980. The GOP elites would never have given Reagan a chance.
