Agree with you. This was true back in the 1980s as well. I was dating a young Mexican lady in Dallas at the time. She and her whole family were here legitimately, green cards, and brought in a business. They did custom hand worked carpentry and carving for architectural fixtures. They employed a half dozen people and paid taxes - all above board, all legit.

All of them were applying for US citizenship, and were passed over in precedence by the Kennedy amnesty sham. Man were they angry. And why not? I lost track of them over the years, but they were considering a return to Mexico and an expanded business over there the last I knew.

Honest, productive, hardworking and self sufficient; desiring to become Americans. Passed over for sad faced mojados who celebrate Cinco de Mayo and protest American flags on American soil.

“Why is this man spouting that BS on OUR stage at this important time?”

Not to be snarky, but I don’t think it is ‘our’ stage. Tea Party, libertarians, small government Republicans and SoCons have all been punked, and punked thoroughly, and punked for a long time.

That is a fact. Not a pretty one, but it is a true one.

I mean that it is the ‘moderate’ GOP which has won. Thus not ‘our’ stage.

My wife made me change the channel when he was speaking. Why is this man spouting that BS on OUR stage at this important time?

Welcome to the GOP of 2012! Sure, it's the bunch of left-leaning RINOs we had in 2008, 2000, 1996, 1992, and 1988, just a little more blatant about their leftist ways.

This is one of the reasons I trend populist on all these McMansions, and am called jealous at times.

If your possessions are too many for you to maintain LEGALLY--don't have so many possessions.

Do you remember when "landscaping" used to mean a patch of lawn, a few pansies and some shrubs?

Now all this elaborate "scaping" with stone retainers, lavish sprinkler systems--people spend half of what their home is worth on greenery that they have no way to maintain without a service. Then, when they find out how much it costs to maintain legally, they bring in gangland from Mexico so they can have the perfect lawn.

I live near resort retirement areas in the mountains where "conservatives" from hot southern cities come to cool off, and these conservatives have armies of illegals that fill up our schools and hosptials and jails.

And they like to think of themselves as so charitable for hiring the "needy."

I'd like to see anyone hiring illegals to have his big lavish property confiscated .

"stop acting stupid" screams Jeb Bush along with Jack Kemp, William Bennett, et al.. during the 1990s following the 1994 election when ~60 percent of voters passed Prop 187, elected Republican Prop 187-backer Pete Wilson governor, and elected Republican Prop 187-backers as the majority in the Assembly for the first time (almost) ever.

The California Republican Party establishment rushed to stop acting stupid.

Since then I think there's been just two Republicans win statewide elections, one insurance commissioner and Schwarzenkennedy. The insurance commissioner was forced to resign mostly because a termed-out Democrat assemblywoman wanted that job. IIRC,

Jeb Bush is not concerned what is good for this country. Instead, he pushes something that will destroy this country.

Mexico alone gets about 25% of all legal immigration. This is outrageous favoritism.

“The best way for Republicans to handle the immigration issue is to aggressively promote a new immigration policy that brings in skilled people and workers. “

No it isn’t. If they want to survive they need to dismantle the 1965 Immigration Act and enact a 20 year moratorium on all immigration. That 1965 law set in motion forces that have dramatically altered the composition of the country.

Look at the demographic change in California from 1980 to 2012 to see why a state that elected Ronald Reagan is now an Obama stronghold.

A doughy white spider that would throw a baby in front of a bus to regain his veneer of political relevance.

He was lauded for acting conservatively as governor of Florida. After he stepped down this twisted look appeared, like everything in America put a bad taste in his mouth. He reminds me of a kid who doesn’t get picked for varsity, then shows up to every game, and boos both sides.

IMO it has nothing to do with his affiliations and everything to do with the fat rich kid who doesn’t get to play.
