Skip to comments. There are Gays who are Conservative and Republican for Romney - short interview

Gay conservatives explain how they can vote for Mitt Romney and still be for gay marriage. Filmed at a party during the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
Maybe the love their country and don’t want to see it destroyed by a incompetent corrupt neo-Marxist regime.
so long as they don;t push their homosexual agena and shut up about their sex lives and not want the rest of us to think they should have their special laws, special marriage etc.
if they do then they can piss ff , and the left are endorsing what they want
If Mitt wants homosexual Boy Scout Leaders then he’ll okay homosexual marriage any day now.
The bully-boys know that.
Gay or not, if they want to actually enjoy the results of their labor, they should be Conservative.
Only lazy idiots and fascists are democrats.
So you are voting for Nader?
they CORRECTLY observe that gay marriage
was imposed, and therefore created, by Mitt Romney.
He has been pro-gay most of his career of course, it’s the conservatives who are told to grin and bear it
The proper question is:
Are you voting for a leader who turns boys over to homosexuals?
There are gay people who don’t support the “gay rights” agenda and are more interested in having a strong, stable economy and reductions in the size of government and a strong defense. Its the Libs who have everyone believing that if you are gay or black or a woman or some other minority that you automatically are for special rights for minorities. Most people want to just live their lives without being bothered by government.
>>The proper question is:
Are you voting for a leader who turns boys over to homosexuals?<<
The proper proper question is: Are you voting for Jill Stein? Or perhaps Mercer?
Just be honest and admit you are voting for obozo (by absentia).
The perfect is he enemy of the good.
Great post. It’s the dims who think that if you’re gay the most important issue is gay marriage, if you’re a woman it’s abortion, hispanic its immigration, etc.
Not really. Many gays are high-earners with a lot of disposable income and don't care one way or the other about marriage. They're voting with their wallets.
Are you voting for a leader who turns boys over to homosexuals?
There are just some things we shouldn’t do.
Gays have to live in this country too. They have to suffer the consequences of political and cultural realities. As for gay marriage, if they want it, let them vote for Democrats who share their cultural vision. There are trade offs to be made in politics.
‘maybe they lover thier country’ true.
They can Go To Hell.
...if you are a real AMERICAN (that's it no more and no less) you are conservative.
Conservatives should accept that there are gay people living quietly without pushing for any gay agenda. Some of them might be even religious and conservative themselves, and live next door. Saying that all gays must hold same view and behaviors basically accepts liberal mindset that everyone belonging to a social group would think and behave the same.
No queers are socially conservative or religiously conservative by definition.
To say any are “conservative” is to ignore those very important aspects.
Exactly. I know gay people. Contrary to some of the posts on FR, not every gay person is a pedophile looking to rape a young boy. Many, many, many gay people want to simply live their lives and are not interested in gay rights or hate crimes laws and the ones I know don’t really even care about gay marriage. The gay people I know are responsible adults who want to work and keep their money and live in a free, stable country. They are much more concerned about living in a Socialist Hellhole than Obama’s gay marriage promises.
Yes....what you said.
>>There are just some things we shouldnt do.<<
Much better to turn the reigns over to a person who kills babies — and then turns the killers over to killers when the 1st one failed.
When and how did Romney turn boys over to homosexuals? Did he become Catholic?
Do you really want to start with me? Cause, I can go all night if you want.
The only thing I can control is my own vote, and my vote is not going to a man who wants homosexual BOY Scout Leaders.
Well, in MA he used to bring them into his office and assure them he was there for them, he would do whatever they asked, etc. He still supports abandoning kids to sodomite “parents”, and allowing them into the Scouts. So this is no surprise, really.
How do you feel about having a homosexual president? If one were to run, I mean.
“Because after we’re married, Mitt Romney supports our right to adopt!”
What happens when you don't have either?
My gay neighbors fit into this category. One, a retired couple, have been together for 42 years and arranged their affairs in such a way that marriage is not an issue to them. Power of attorney, wills, death directives and joint ownerships protect their interests. If our country continues on it's present path no one, straight or gay, are going to be concerned about the sexual identity of someone else.
I also doubt that this issue would even come up once the disintegration of our nation is full blown as a result of this path we're on. Survival will be the issue and little else will matter.
You mean like the one currently occupying the White Hut? Not so well.
I guess the strangest detour this thread has taken is away from looking at some particular policy, that some people think there is a single orthodox definition of Conservatism, and it is theirs, and everyone else is not a Conservative.
If they reprsent a majority of Conservatives, then no wonder so many Conservatives do not do well with making alliances with other Conservatives, compete against each other in elections, split their ranks and leave their most common foe the ability to win on a mere plurality.
At one point social Conservatives gave up that aproach, built a base in the GOP, allied with others in the GOP and won many victories, even as they accepted all was not perfect.
You know, I don’t mind if Conservatives are gay and like Romney. I just wish they wouldn’t be so vocal about it, and embarass the rest of us. Can’t they just go like Romney in the privacy of their own homes and spare us the details?
We learned from experience that our allies were only using us to advance their agendas, and had no interest in a quid pro quo to help advance our agendas. Instead, the RINOs counted our votes as in the bag and got accustomed to backstabbing Conservatives at every opportunity.
If I were feeling cynical, I’d say they probably planned all along to simply contain the Conservative movement and control it, thinking they could eventually pander their way into getting enough moderate, latino, or whatever votes to replace ours.
Another thing to consider is simply the nature of moderates. They try to find a middle ground between the major opposing views, so as the left drifted further left, the moderates also naturally drifted left to maintain a balance. So, while the moderates in our party were still fairly conservative on social issues 30 years ago, now the gulf between us has widened. For example, it’s not as if the Conservatives suddenly oppose gay marriage, creating a divide, it’s that the moderates suddenly support it.
Make my last message to All, I was on the phone and typing at the same time. B-)
Bullcrap- they are communist moles:
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
“We learned from experience that our allies were only using us to advance their agendas, and had no interest in a quid pro quo to help advance our agendas.”
I think many Libertarian Conservatives felt the same way when it came to social Conservatives, in the GOP and from that I think one can see the growth of the Libertarian party and decline of GOP registration throughout the 1990s.
As for “RINOS” and “moderates” when it comes to Conservative allies it was not them I was referring to; I think they have not been allies of any Conservatives.
I think maybe you missed the sarcasm in my post, I knew I should have included the /s tag.
Basically, I was phrasing it like someone who wants gays to “keep it in the bedroom”, but if you read the comment, what I’m telling them to keep private is their love of Romney, not their gayness :)
