Please Freepmail me if you do, and are willing to help me.
Thanks in advance,
Philip
Your going to have to come up with more info than that. You make it sound like your moving and need to borrow a truck.
I wish to locate my son
I hope you find the help you need. Wish I could help. Prayers to you and family.
I helped a friend move a couple of weeks ago. He gave me a six-pack for my efforts. Really? A six-pack?
You did say he was a friend. What do you want, a couple hundred bucks?
Rio Dell is on the Redwood Hwy (101) just south of Fortuna which is south of the Humbult/Eureka area. There is a very liberal area that caters to Marijuana, Code Pink and tree huggers.
A six-pack was the going rate more than a decade ago. Heck, I could’ve finished a six-pack on the trip to his new place (30 minute drive). And we made six trips.
Where is it?North??
I guess it was a long shot expecting Freepers to be living near this area.
Thanks anyway.
My prayers belong to you.
You know who your friends are when you move.
You REALLY know who your friends are when they help you move dead bodies.
So for some reason the rate of inflation for helping a friend is higher than the rate of inflation for beer? That's gotta be some kind of bad news for this country.
Please check your FR mail.
A case of brew and a litre of Wild Turkey 101 would have been better.
It sure as heck is, if you don't have a truck of your own, and few friends.
A friend will help you move.
A better friend will help you move the body.
A good friend will bail you out of jail.
But a real best friend would be sitting with you in the back of the squad car saying “That was fun!”
Tubebender reporting in from Benderville (aka Eureka) Ca. FReepmail me more info...
I’m in Willow Creek. About 30-40 miles as the crow flies.
With a missing kid at stake, I hope that remains just a funny post.

****
All the friends I have helped move have either taken me out to dinner as a thank you, or bought my lunch/dinner depending on the time. One of them even cooked dinner for us. There’s a reason why I never ask my friends for these kinds of small stuff because I will end up owing them. Whenever I move, I just hire a private company to avoid any issue of friendhsip or bro-ship.
And when time comes for me to move? "Sorry, snowflake has a ballet recital."
>> with 95% of my friends married (and not owning trucks), I perform 95% of the moves
Sounds to me like you’re a pushover with a truck who doesn’t know how to say “no”.
Do you have plans the weekend of 9/15? :-)
Total pushover, but things are changing. ;)
And the reason things are changing is this little thing called arthritis.
I agree with you and it has happened to me too. I don’t blame you one iota if had a WTF! moment. If someone gave me a 6-pack after a full house move using my truck, I would have thrown that 6 pack back at his face.
That’s why I don’t provide any money nor ask for anything from my friends because I do NOT want to owe them and give them an issue or edge when it comes to payback.
Arthritis’ll do it. So will overuse injuries to backs, knees, hips, ...
(Curiously enough, no one ever speaks of brain overuse injury. I wonder why that is. Oh well, not relevant to the matter at hand.)
Go to Google Maps and put in Rio Dell, CA. Now that isn’t to hard is it?

Just bought some veggies grown in willow Creek ...
Best of luck finding your son.
Good luck finding your son. I wish I was there to help you. :)
