Vanity - Gas prices went up 14 cents TODAY
09/08/12

Bought gas in NJ noon today at $3.559. On the return trip, around 6PM, price was $3.699.
I'm pretty sure it's because of pending QE3, but I'm no expert.
I expect the price of everything else to soon rise accordingly.

I've been putting this sticker on gas pumps:

Drove from way downeast Maine to the midcoast area (150 miles) today and saw prices from 3.809 to 3.999.
Overall, prices have gone up in our area about 20 cents over the past week or so.

We’re up $0.06 to $3.55 here in the northwest Houston area.

SoCal was $4.25/gal yesterday for the low end, up about .10 since the last fill up.
OT: Was told yesterday by reliable source that Los Angeles will be bankrupt in 2014, even though Villaraigosa said it won't happen on his watch. I guess that means the day after he leaves office next June. A few months ago, the LAPD Police Chief said his department has taken a $120 million budget reduction and can't pay officers overtime.
We're moving out of state, hopefully before the election.

Facts and reality don’t matter to the Sheeple. Obama gives good speeches, is “cool”, and you’re a racist if you don’t vote for him. When stacked up against all that, what difference do little things like the economy and personal finances make?

Democrats see no connection between rising gasoline costs and the price of goods and services to voters. Filling up a gas can for use in the lawn tractor or rototiller is easily more than $20.00 now.
My husband agrees with you about the $6.00 per gallon range by November - maybe that's what it will take for the liberal jack@sses to bring their messiah's message home for them.
There won't be any morey to spend on entertainment, and that will leave those Hollywood and celebrity types without customers and give them a sweet but painful lesson about the importance of capitalism.

Today I read the full August 22 updated report: Analysis of CBO's Updated Budget and Economic Outlook. I had previously only read the conclusion and was starting to freak out. The actual report is frightening. I'm getting into accelerated action (i.e., moving out of California).

I noticed prices went up substantially around the time of the Hurricane, but they’ve been stable since. I haven’t checked the price today though.

Obama gives good speechesThe thing is that his speeches have no connection to his actions, policies, or reality in general. In fact, his speeches often contradict his earlier statements and speeches. And certainly the promises he made.
