gainsay; verb
verb (used with object), gain·said, gain·say·ing. 1. to deny, dispute, or contradict. 2. to speak or act against; oppose.
Etymology: "to contradict," c.1300, lit. "say against," from O.E. gegn- "against" + say. "Solitary survival of a once common prefix" [Weekley], which was used to form such now-obsolete compounds as gain-taking "taking back again," gainclap "a counterstroke," gainbuy "redeem," and gainstand "to oppose."

I’d gainsay the gain said to take have taken place for Obama recently by the pollsters — it’s at best temporary, at worst manipulative again by the Media outlets…

Not sure if we can trust the numbers with these guys, but it doesn’t matter cuz obozo has bills to pay already with that money.

I don’t believe the polls for one red minute. Listening to Rush now, he is reminding people that Republicans won in LANDSLIDES just 2 years ago and things and opinions have only gotten worse for the empty chair.
i totally believe that, but my glass half empty self reminds me that the American people are stupid and elected him with no experience whatsoever once [which i did not believe possible]. i think the odds are against his reelection, but it’s not without question. i feel positive and not discouraged. xsbaby was one of the 55,000 out knocking on doors this past Super Saturday, in swing states. Tomorrow the campaign will not door knock or call, out of respect for 9/11, but instead are collecting things for troop care packages, so xsbaby will take stuff after school and help do that tomorrow.
Good for her! I’m sure she is making a difference out there. Yikes, there is a lot of barking here, thanks to the city chipper trucks out there chopping my branches.
we had a BAD storm on Sat late afternoon. lots of big branches down and our power was out from 5 pm til 4 am. Sat PM to Sunday AM. It cooled off and was beautiful yesterday and today though. Got rid of the gross humidity.

what in the world does he mistake it for? candy? bc there is nothing FOODLIKE about the dang things. and if anything the stuff smells like perfume and not a foodlike smell. i haven’t seen chocolate scented laundry pods yet!
