Fourteen employees at an El Monte, Calif., aquatic park have been fired after filming a parody video they say was meant to highlight how much they loved working at their jobs.
In the video, a group of lifeguards dances in humorous choreographed moves in an homage to the "Gangnam Style" video that has become a huge viral sensation online, with more than 130,000,000 views...

Not much in line with my tastes - but I didn’t see anything bad enoughto get fired over.
Must be getting near the end of the season and the boss needed to find an excuse.
The City Manager is pretty lame. I see nothing wrong with the video except for the pelvic thrust in the elevator.

Well, fat floats, so this could be one job where a bit of pudge is an advantage.
Not much worse than the old Annette Funicello beach movies: young people in tight swim suits, dancing, and water. Perhaps the employers were worried parents might not send their kids there after it went viral, but I’d say all the teens’ business would make up for it.

Yep, it certainly seemed that some of them have been sitting in ‘the chair’ a bit more than necessary and really needed to get out a bit. I suspect the city was sick of that bunch anyway, and they just gave the city a great way to dump them and not have to pay Obamacare premiums on them for the next 8 months.
Also interesting is just how wealthy some of these California towns seem to be...
