“We’re doomed,” Limbaugh said this afternoon on his top-rated talk show. “If Obama’s re-elected, it will happen. There’s no IF about this. And it’s gonna be ugly. It’s gonna be gut-wrenching, but it will happen. The country’s economy is going to collapse if Obama is re-elected. I don’t know how long: a year and a half, two years, three years.” Limbaugh is expecting California to go belly up first, setting off a chain of financial calamities. “California is going to declare bankruptcy and you know what Obama will do? He’ll go to states like Texas or Arizona, Florida to bail them out. That’s what he’ll do, and that’s gonna precipitate this stuff. California is showing where we’re headed in every which way,” Limbaugh said. “This can’t go on, folks. We’re on an unsustainable course,” he continued. “You simply can’t pay people who aren’t working. You just can’t. You cannot pay them anything, much less full-fledged incomes, lifetime health care and lifetime pensions. You can’t do it. Even if you wanted to, even if that was your definition of fairness and equality, you can’t do it. The money isn’t there.
So f*ing what? More power to him! He has earned what he has, and can do what he wants with it.

He is a con-man far more concerned about his own solitary bank account than what is in the best interest of this nation. Maybe Rush's new world will be in New Zealand - mine is in Texas and it's prepared to begin whenever a collapse comes.
When you have a talk show that you’ve garnered over 15 million listeners to, get back to us. Sounds like you’re complaining that Rush “built that”. He owes you something why?

The economy will collapse if Obama remains in power beyond January. If Americans lose this election, I will probably go completely Galt and off grid. I don’t want to play under that evil thug’s rules for our country.
What I am about to say will not be very popular, but here goes: Although Rush is looking at the near term effects of Obama’s first term and the probable effects of a second term for him, I think it goes much further than that I believe that most people across the “First world and Second World” want to see it be destroyed and rebuilt into something “better”.
I think we passed the tipping point some years ago, it was probably back in the early days of President Clinton. We as a nation and in many ways the rest of the world are heading for a major fall. Perhaps even the fall of civilization itself. Why? I’m not totally sure but I think it’s because the world has become so complex, yet so in our faces via modern communication media.
We know more about what’s occurring on the other side of the world than we do about what’s occurring on the other side of the neighborhood. This has a way of involving us in an emotional way yet leaves us feeling we can do nothing about what we are hearing/seeing.
People are pretty limited in how much they can do or comprehend even locally and yet they are bombarded daily about happenings across the nation and world. The natural reaction is to back off and close the perceptions of what is being presented to them constantly.
Do this often enough and there develops a desire both internally and in the populace at large for the “problem” to go away. And when you get down to it the “problem” for many if not most people is “modern civilization”.
So without going deeper in psychology and sociology I think that civilization collapse will occur because a large portion if not the current majority of human beings want it to occur if only on a subconscious basis.

He has no edge. I started listening to him in the late 80s when he was only on in Sacramento. He was different then.
Rush always says “I’ll tell you when it’s time to panic”. He’s not there yet but this is the closest I have ever heard him to saying, “it’s time to panic”
Just because Rush has a lot of money and a lot of listeners (millions less than he used to have a few years ago, btw) doesn’t mean he is wise or principled.
Plenty of shysters, con men and criminals have been very popular and amassed large wealth. I’m not saying Rush is a criminal or that he should not have his wealth; I don’t envy him a pinch. But he’s not a cutting edge researcher and he’s not a conservative in the real sense of the word, and he has no courage and not much principle.
And if he loses, I have no doubt he will do the best he can to ensure a scorched earth policy or worse. I do hope the facts will come out sooner or later.

This is where I am expending my energies at the moment,trying to figure out how to best equip our successors who must rebuild after the mess our and the preceding generations inflicted on the USA.
Honestly,the problem is mathematical. The gangrene of compounding debt cannot be resolved. Period. I do not want the nation to be finished,but it is whether I want it to be or not. In my judgement and observation, the tipping point is long since passed. The only question is the pace of the future. Either way the election turns out — even if the GOP increases their share of the House and gains the Senate — I can easily envision the collapse occurring before the 2014 congressional elections.

Sounds like to me you are another big mouth on FR badmouthing conservatives. So what? Rush don’t owe you anything. What’s your plan genius? Tell me you wouldn’t be all about yourself if you had the money. What are your provisions? Or are you one of those that is just plain jealous of the “millionaires and billionares that don’t pay their fair share”? Have you paid your “fair share”? You’ve been here on FR for 10 years. I know what to expect when an individual or a nation turn their backs on the Creator. Creating rights for perverts because they are perverts is against God. I believe in the concept of the original 'TeaParty', no taxation without representation.

When my flesh returns to dust and my soul/spirit returns to the Maker that sent it, I will leave all my earthly possession right here on God's green earth. The only things I will return home with are the deeds recorded during my flesh journey. So I don't waste my time pining over wealth accumulation or others pots of gold. But I do concern myself with whose agenda I participate in promoting.
