Posted on 09/13/2012 6:53:51 AM PDT by VA Voter
I inadvertenly pushed the wrong combination of keys and rotated my screen orientation 90 degrees to the right. Now the top of my screen display is aligned along the right hand edge and I don't know how to reorient it.
I'm running windows 7.
Thanks for your help.
Press Ctrl-Alt and then the cursor keys, will rotate the screen.
Sounds like a good excuse to lay down on the job.
Try Ctrl+Alt+Arrow Keys.
CTRL ALT UpArrow
That did it. Thank you.
"type from your couch lying down"
Can’t do that. I’m the boss. :)
lol. Good one.
Right click on any portion of the desktop screen.
Select Graphic Options >>
VA Voter - once you have the screen back to normal, Right-click in the desktop area, find the video or display properties, and UNcheck "Enable screen rotation".
Could have forgotten the technical stuff and just laid monitor on it’s side.
LOL! Back in the DOS era, we found a program that would display text in graphic mode, 90 degrees rotated, and put it on the secretary’s computer. She (not even blonde) came back from lunch, promptly turned her monitor over on it’s side, and kept right on typing as if nothing was wrong...
Joke was on US!
Simply do what I did...lay the monitor on its side.. problem solved!
What keeps the water from running down the screen?

do you have any idea how many times this probably happened to her?
My 8 year old son showed it to me many months ago.. go figure!
Leave it to the kiddos!
About 15 years ago my boss played a rather embarassing computer practical joke on me.
So a week later when he went to lunch I reprogrammed his keyboard so each key typed the letter to its right.
Oh, this thread is perfect! lol!
Just a couple of days ago I accidentally deleted the “HDMI sound device” from my computer. Just gone. I could use my laptop speakers and my headphones and use my TV like a monitor, but no sound from the TV. Considering that our main entertainment is DVD’s and streaming movies through my computer we were pretty much dead in the water.
Eventually I found the answer on google and managed to fix it, but boy was I frustrated with myself for a full day! lol!
“stupid, stupid, stupid!!”
He’s cheating. His elbow is on the arm of the chair.
Like a BOSS.
