I have noticed that there is a SEVERE lack of "Presidential" campaign signs in my area. NOTHING like it was in 2008. I mean......I don't even see bumper stickers of support for either candidate.
When I drive through the Black neighborhoods to picks up my kids.....nothing. No Obama signs.
Other parts of town......nothing.
Not even bumper stickers.
I think people are TRULY afraid. This is TRULY CREEPY!
There is a great family around the corner, bless their hearts, who have a sign that says "Vote Like Your Freedoms Depend On It". And I smile every time I pass it.......but NOTHING else.
I think people are afraid. Afraid to voice their opinion because of retaliation.
I NEVER thought we would become a country like this. But, here we are.

Dem voters are embarrassed, and Rep voters don’t want to get their cars keyed.
same here..someone usually offers me one.
Indicates low voter turnout... we WIN when there’s a low turnout.
This bodes well for Romney / Ryan, I think. Very few are still in love with Barry. But many don’t want to be “against” him (by showing outward support for Romney) in order to avoid the shitstorm from idiots on the other side: vandalism, accusations of racism, etc.
Obama supporters slice tires.
Republicans and conservatives where I live are afraid any public Romney support will result in violence from the democrats (code word for AAs).
I noticed the same thing here the other day. No bumper sticker or signs, other then my neighbor who has a Romney yard sign.
Last week I seen my first and to date only "Romney2012" sticker on the back of a car.
America is being Blakanzied like you said. Support the wrong candidate who is "against" one particular ethnic group and you are inviting trouble.
That is one of Ubama's biggest goals in his next term. He must divide this nation down as many lines as he can, so he or his successors can exploit that to the hilt.
Divide and Conquer.
Along the same lines ... I have yet to (in the last three elections (state and national)) see any political signs that indicate any party affiliation.
I wrote the following on another thread earlier tonight:
We were talking about this earlier today. Remember all the pro-Obama bumper stickers and signs you saw in 2008? Well, when you are out tomorrow notice how few of them are around this election cycle. I have been paying close attention to this for a couple of weeks, we are now less than 60 days out and it seems that there is a lot less enthusiasm for Bozo. I think this is a very encouraging sign, no pun intended, for R&R!
If you all are seeing anything different out there in your communities, I would interested to hear about it!
I don’t know what it means, if anything, but I had to pick my son up from the Birmingham airport this evening. I drove through several heavily black areas on the way. I saw exactly one Obama/biden yard sign.
Many states are all ready decided and the money is being focused on the “swing” states. One of the good things about living is California I don’t have to see a bunch of Obama adds.
Surprising.
Here in Virginia, we are seiing more Romney signs and fewer Obama signs. Four years ago it was loaded with Obama yard signs.
May mean nothing, or that the Reps are better organized this year, or that Obama’s appeal has faded. It is just unusual to see more Republican presidential yard signs than Democrat.
I’m in Texas but I have only seen one sign, in the street being stepped on and run over for days, an Obama sign. There are signs for other races but nada on the big one.
I’ve noticed the same thing. I’m in a state that Obama has no chance of winning this time around. I see hardly in signs or bumper stickers for either candidate.
What state are you in? I think most of the effort will be placed in the swing states. I don’t think you will see very much in NY or CA.
Nothing here either.
The 45 million Americans on food stamps might not be happy with Romney voters.
Sure . . . why not. It works for Islamic lunatics.
Same thing here in my neighborhood in eastern Wa State. 76 houses in this development, exactly one sign (Romney). It is actually the only Romney house sign I have ever seen. Earlier there were a couple of Herman Cain signs. There were a scattering of Obama signs in 2008 but not now.
The only thing out of the ordinary in my front yard is the empty chair I left there from labor day.
I’ve seen a few Obama bumper stickers and car window stickers, almost nothing at all on cars for Romney. A few coworkers have the Obama photos as if he’s a saint, all of them black, but the images may date to 2008.
I haven’t seen ANY Presidential yard signs for either candidate, and I have an 80 mile round trip each day.
This year, nothing. Very few bumper stickers, not even 1 in 20, and almost no yard signs except for some state senators that have an Obama/Biden attached.
That's exactly right, and I plead guilty, but would this guy worry about getting his car keyed?
Here in NE Ohio I have seen maybe a half dozen Obama/Biden stickers.
It’s typically some 40-50 year old white pedophile-looking male, or some young 20-something dyke looking woman driving a hybrid with a Coexist sticker too.
And I mean that.
Just my own private profiling.
That’s what I’m thinking as well.
I mean.......I live in a small town, but drive through a nearby city....and there is NOTHING.
I tell ya’, folks. There is a HUGE “black cloud” hanging over our nation at the mo.
Lives are at stake.
Here in Southern California, I haven’t seen a lot of presidential signs, but signs for Congressional candidates are popping up, and there will be a lot more in the coming weeks.
I was once part of a crew that went “signing” for a Congressional candidate. We would start at around midnight and look for appropriate spots to place signs.
Surprising.
Here in Virginia, we are seiing more Romney signs and fewer Obama signs. Four years ago it was loaded with Obama yard signs.
May mean nothing, or that the Reps are better organized this year, or that Obama’s appeal has faded. It is just unusual to see more Republican presidential yard signs than Democrat.
i just put my empty chair out today
I’ve noticed this, too. No Presidential stuff. Yet we had some yard signs for the primaries in March and almost as many for the Ted Cruz/David Dewhurst run-off. People happy to say they wanted one conservative or another for the primary and the run off don’t have signs up for the Republican for President. People happy to endorse a Democrat for sheriff or city counsel don’t have anything up for Obama. Street corners littered with signs for one side or another or various propositions on the ballot are mostly empty.
My friend picks them up for me. They said they were out last week though I don’t see any. I finally got one today but it’s just Romney. They said they’re behind on Romney/Ryan signs.
But I’ve already had people question the wisdom of putting the signs up, car keyed whatever. Sounds to me like the Germans in Hitler’s day, don’t rock the boat. Personally, my signs are up and I’ll ask my neighbors if they’d like me to pick some up for them.
I have seen a lot of local election signs, but none of them indicate the candidate’s party. What is up with that?
I have seen no Romney signs or stickers here. I see maybe one Obama bumper sticker about every two weeks (saw one today, in fact). The driver is usually black, but a few times I’ve seen post-menopausal white women. I figure they’re probably the teachers union types.
Hardly a bunper sticker on the cars in Phoenix today.
Yeah....the local elections have a few signs out (not as much in past years).....but I’m finding this scary that people won’t admit that they do/don’t support a particular Presidential candidate.
In 2010.......the place was LIT UP! Signs EVERYWHERE!
“America is being Blakanzied like you said. Support the wrong candidate who is “against” one particular ethnic group and you are inviting trouble.”
That’s either a typo, or a trendy new phrase! :)
I’m gonna put that guy’s sticker on my car.
Recently a few Obama signs have shown up in odd places. They are smaller signs than normal and are cheapo two color jobs that simply say "Obama" and don't mention crazy Joe Biden.
I agree that you have to be careful not to have a Republican bumper sticker in many place, for fear of getting your car keyed.
I live in Vermont and spend the summer in Maine. I particularly noticed in Maine that most cars still have Obama 2008 stickers on them, but I haven’t seen ANY Obama 2012 stickers. And no yard signs, whereas last time Obama signs were everywhere.
I think there’s no question that the earlier enthusiasm for Obama is gone. But frankly, I don’t think there’s much enthusiasm for Romney, either.
I know, we need to throw Obama out of the White House. But Romney was a very poor pick to do it. I certainly approve of his comments about Obama and the embassy attacks, but it’s one of the very few times that I have done so, regretably.
Anyway, the complete lack of Obama 2012 bumper stickers and yard signs is certainly encouraging.
Along the same lines ... I have yet to (in the last three elections (state and national)) see any political signs that indicate any party affiliation.
i saw one for a county board member
There are signs everywhere here. Everyone wants Romney/Ryan signs and bumper stickers and they’re hard to come by.
Really weird compared to four years ago. They couldn't give McCain signs away at first. Then, as soon as he named Palin, they started flying off the shelves. FWIW, McCain-Palin carried out county by 58% and Reagan lost it to Mondale in his 1984 nationwide landslide.
“Its typically some 40-50 year old white pedophile-looking male, or some young 20-something dyke looking woman driving a hybrid with a Coexist sticker too.”
Bahahaha! That is a classic description!!
I’m surrounded by Ron Paulites. Some neighbors have even updated their Ron Paul signs for the 2012 election.
Only Obama bumper stickers are on cars with lots of union stickers and such—like Pro-Choice. Lots of the stickers do not have Biden’s name on them.
“Republicans and conservatives where I live are afraid any public Romney support will result in violence from the democrats (code word for AAs).”
Sad but true. I long for the days when men were not ‘afraod’.
I’m in southern New Hampshire and I hadn’t thought about it until now, but I’ve seen quite a few Romney signs and I don’t think I’ve seen any Obama signs. I’ve seen a few Obama bumper stickers, but some are from 2008. My teenage daughter just signed up with a friend to work with the Romney campaign, so maybe I’ll get the scoop on the lack of signs nationally. Perhaps the campaigns are spending their money differently this time around.
