The federal air marshall who sheltered George Zimmerman for six-weeks after he shot Trayvon Martin appeared on Dr. Phil last night to say that his friend would be dead unless he had killed the Florida teenager.
Mark Osterman, 44, a former Seminole County deputy who now lives in Lake Mary, appeared on the nationally syndicated television show and said that the Martin would have continued to ram his friends head against the floor and that Zimmerman's 'believes he would not be alive today', if he had not fired his own gun at the 17-year-old.
On the program to plug their new book, 'Defending our Friend: The Most Hated Man in America', Osterman and his wife Sondra denied that Zimmerman, 28, was a 'Rambo' type of vigilante and claimed that he was 'heartbroken and devastated' over the killing.
Caring for Zimmerman at their Lake Mary home while a $10,000 bounty was put on his head by the New Black Panthers following the February 26th shooting, Mark and Sandra Osterman claimed that their friend acted in self-defence and would have died had Martin continued to slam his head against the ground.

I was flipping channels and came across that just as the PopDoc started raging at this guy. The camera cut back to him looking sheepish. It was an embarrassing display of PR that was meant to do the opposite of what his PR people probably told him it would. Someone convinced this guy that he would be able to go out there and make his case, and once again, someone was set up by the BSMedia. When are people going to learn that THESE PEOPLE ARE THE ENEMY???? I couldn’t watch for more than 20 seconds.
I think you're right.
Zimmerman is being railroaded. All the evidence supports his claim that he shot in self defense. He was flat on his back with Trayvon punching him in the face and slamming his head on the concrete side walk when he shot his attacker off him.
He was following Trayvon to keep him under observation so when the police arrived they could question this suspect that strongly fit the criminal profile of previous break ins. He lost him and was walking back to his truck when Treyvon attacked him.
Eric “my people” Holder sent 10 special FBI agents to Sanford to investigate Zimmermans background for evidence of racial animus against blacks and found the exact opposite, that Zim was a liberal Democrat that publically protested the beating of a black homeless man by the son of a white policeman.
But the National “Liberal” Lynch Mob doesn’t care about the facts. It only cares about its racist agenda that demands that Zimmerman be punished for a crime that he didn’t do..
As far as friend?? I guess his intentions are the key....and right now it looks like 15 minutes of fame...and some bread.
Indeed. They hate everything about our Constitutional Republic and the people that embrace it...hell; they probably hate kittens, as well.
Had he been of that mind set, thug Trayvon would probably still be alive and no one would have ever heard of Zimmerman. He would have had his firearm at the ready, which would have caused the thug to back off or flee. How many crimes are prevented by the display of a weapon by the intended victim or someone nearby? Lots, I'll bet!
Lake Mary...there’s a screen door joint there with great gator and cold beer.
