So I've grown up in church. And everything I've read and heard preached went something like this.
Israel will be in a war.. or be about to get into a war when the Antichrist comes along and makes a "peace" deal for 7 years.
3 and a half years into the deal the Antichrist breaks the deal and starts a war with Israel.
Does this deception sound like "Taquia" to any of you.
"Taquia" teaches Muslims that it's ok to lie to an enemy during battle. Deception, etc.
I've like to hear Freepers thoughts on this.
Will the Antichrist be a muslim? I thought that person was supposed to be very believable.. and fool a lot of the world. At this point I would hope a lot of people wouldn't be fooled by a Muslim.

The False Prophet will practice some form of “christianity”, most likely. Small “c” on purpose.
This is one of ecumenical efforts to accept and confirm that Salvation comes via all faiths - this is written in official church doctrine in various forms and preached in places people don’t want to admit.
The Antichrist will appear to be some form of a false jesus (small “j” on purpose). This will work well on the muslims who reject the Deity of Jesus Christ (I’ve spoken with three muslims in the past two weeks). Two are listening, one more so than the other. The third is highly skeptical at this point. I don’t see me making much headway with him.
But since it’s a false form of Christianity does that mean he could be a secret Muslim?

The Antichrist must be some sort of political figure that heads up a world gov’t or a very large grouping of nations, including remnants of other nations.
Makes me think we could see significant destruction / crippling of some countries. That ... spooks me to no end.
The Antichrist must convince Jews, Biblically-illiterate churchgoers (who never accepted Christ as Savior nor the Son of God), muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, etc. that he is their world savior.
I don’t see him being muslim per se ... however, he could be VERY friendly to their agenda because, via their texts, he will want to use many of them in the final assault on Israel and rejecting the real Jesus by continuing in the spirit of antichrist, which has always denied the Deity of Christ.
The Antichrist must be involved with world gov’t and Rome in some version, so we must see what happens.
But as I’ve noted before, there is some seriously spooky stuff about Obama. Though Omen III tried to make the Antichrist heading for the U.S. Presidency, I don’t see how it can be a U.S. President.
We are definitely getting quite close to the Latter Days / Latter Years — Iran developing a nuclear weapon is highly significant of that.

Several prophecy teachers confuse this. There is a world gov’t represented by a “beast”, which is dreadful and kills, outdoing Hitler by at least a factor of 70 (3.5 billion dead vs. 50 million dead, both in about 7 years).
The False Prophet directs the people of the Earth to worship the Antichrist Beast (the first beast). The False Prophet is the second beast of Revelation 13.
The False Prophet makes the people of the Earth build an image to the first beast Antichrist and receive his mark - 666.
In the passage below, you see the second beast, the False Prophet, arise as “another beast coming up out of the Earth”.

I was always taught he would convince Israel/Jews that he is a Jew and that they will accept him as their messiah.

No, he’s not too bright. But remember, it is Satan that gives the Antichrist his power and his authority (Satan is the temporary “god” of this world, since the Garden of Eden - 2nd Cor 4:3-4).
This is the first beast out of the sea (the little horn of Daniel’s prophecy). Satan gives him the power.

Israel must have some control of Jerusalem, trodden underfoot by Gentiles. They are and it is.

Yes, this is just an Eagle 3:16 but I’m convinced many of them will become willing foot-soldiers of the Antichrist.
