A personal journal belonging to U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens was obtained by CNN, and The Wall Street Journal is reporting that it "broadcast reports based on its contents against the wishes of the Stevens family, according to relatives and State Department officials who were asked to intervene by the family."......
On Wednesday, CNN talk show host Anderson Cooper told Sen. John McCain on "Anderson Cooper 360," that "a source familiar with Ambassador Stevens's thinking told us that in the months before his death he talked about being worried about the never-ending security threats that he was facing in Benghazi and specifically about the rise in Islamic extremism and growing al Qaeda presence." The source, Cooper said, "also mentioned (Stevens) being on an al Qaeda hit list."

well geeee. thats amazing..wonder who wrote it.
CNN probably told the terrorists where he was so they could get some good ‘news’.
This legal? Interfering with evidence? Crime scene.
Reminds me of the clean-up effort by Hillary’s minions after the death of Vince Foster.

One would THINK that this FURTHER discredits the Obama Administration as well as that creature who runs its state department.
CNN’s amoral and criminal interference with an investigation cannot be brushed off. “Largely unguarded” means they snuck past the guards and took evidence, then used the diary to sell advertising. RIP ethics.
CNN: Reliably mouthing the words of terror networks.
Anybody recall that CNN actually paid Saddam Hussein to stay in Iraq and let him pre-screen and censor their reports? True facts seemingly lost in the turbulent world of objective reporting, I guess.
I read that the terrorists took classified information regarding allies/safe houses/etc. from the place where Stevens was murdered.... CNN probably got the journal from the terrorists.
You’re kidding right. We are caught in a “war” with the most unethical, dishonest, lying administration who would make sure this journal exposing their criminally negligent behavior, would never see the light of day (definitely not before the election) and you’re worried about potential violations of legalistic technicalities?
Do you think for a microsecond that if the shoe was on the other foot they would hesitate making this public?
And that is not a crime scene - it’s a theater of war. You’re getting sucked in by their propaganda.
Maybe I'm dense, but what does this have to do with the Obama Administration?
I thought Hilldebeast said he was never worried.
Georgia Girl 2~ “ I thought Hilldebeast said he was never worried.”
Rite . It’s called CYA , especially since it became a fatal instinct situation.
Obviously , the Hilldebeast never got a chance to read his journal, like CNN did . Ask Anderson Cooper for example...
But then again , she is so out of touch with reality , that it wasn’t until today ( 11 days after the fact ) that it dawned on her that the Benghazi riot wasn’t about the “movie that no one saw”, and was premeditated.
Freepers on this site knew the situation the day after the event. It took her 10 more days to catch up !
Everything right up to this very minute...and beyond.
The diary is proof that they have been lying out of both sides of their mouths since the first word was spoken on this subject. obama wull compound and expand the lie exponentially when he speaks at the UN.
It would seem they had to of, or we were being lied to earlier.
At least by Sept 13th it was being reported that sensitive papers/files (containing names and some oil contracts) were missing from the consulate. CNN is reporting that they ‘found’ the journal 4 days after the attack. As of Sept 16, the FBI still wasn’t in Libya, per the Libyan president.
Sorry, I’m still not gettin’ it. What did Obama say that is refuted by this?
Someone needs to ask why they were talking to State after admitting to being in possession of evidence in what is widely known to be an FBI investigation? Independent of how they came into possession of the journal (which could also be illegal), they should have been talking to the DoJ, no? The answer is either A) Yes, we made a mistake and we have opened a separate investigation into CNN’s actions, or B) the FBI has no jurisdiction and we are handing over the investigation to the DoD. WTF?!
Probably given to them by the state department.
