Surprised RAK doctors described Pakistani mans condition as strange
A Pakistani man who was declared dead at hospital in Ras Al Khaimah returned to life 30 minutes after a strenuous resuscitation operation.
The man, in his 30s, was rushed to Saqr Hospital by friends after collapsing at work and doctors diagnosed him as a dead man with no heart pulse, apnea and dilated eye pupils, the Arabic language daily Alkhaleej said.
He had all signs of death and was diagnosed as a dead man but doctors still decided to try and revive him, the paper said.
Nearly 30 minutes after a resuscitation operation, the patients heart began beating again and doctors decided to move him to the intensive care unit.
He was supported with respiratory and other systems for four days before he opened his eyes and woke up, the paper said.
It was a strange case and our doctors exerted sincere and strenuous efforts to save this man, said Dr Abdullah al Nuaimi, the Hospitals director, adding that the patients condition is now stable after having an infarction.
“he’s not dead...he’s just stunned.”
I was talking to an undertaker in Norfolk, VA. maybe 25 years ago. During the conversation, I asked if he had ever had someone come back to life.
He answered sort of matter of factly, that they had one come back to life just the week before. He said they called an ambulance and he lived for a few more days before dying for good.
That really surprised me.
It happened to me in 1988 when I had meningitis. I denied the reality of the experience for several years until I could no longer deny the changes to me. Was a life changing experience as the ego gets diminished instantly and you become aware that there is a much better place than being here in a physical body.
I got depressed after the experience as I missed that complete feeling of being with God that I had to give up to return. I lost all fear of death. Actually welcomed death for a while till I realized that you can have that same relationship with God while you are here in a physical body.
Life is the stage for the experiences necessary for the soul to grow.
That is very interesting.
Great! Now he can report back and tell us about the virgins and the great Allah!
(bet he stays very quiet)
With the innovation of injectable oxygen, first responders finding someone who is not breathing and with a stopped heart will immediately inject them with this, then start heart massage to circulate it around the body.
Since the brain is most susceptible to oxygen deprivation, there might be innovated a mechanical device that injects it under the right pressure into the carotid artery leading to the brain. Put a collar around their neck, it locates the carotid, pierces it, and auto-injects the oxygen in a suitable carrier fluid.
Then ordinary chest pressure pushes it about the brain. Once that is working, they can do a more typical IV to push even more oxygen into their blood.
“I’m not dead yet.”
Somatic death can be misinterpreted. Hence the bells on Irish graves.
He learned shortly after he regained consciousness that he had already voted democrat...
Always seek a second opinion if your doctor tells you that you are deceased.
A CPR instructor I had was emphatic despite my probing questions: your heart stops, you’re dead.
Been there, done that.
My wife didn’t appreciate being told “the surgery is going well, they’re stopping his heart now.”
Dunno how long I was on the heart/lung machine, but guess it was around an hour.
Having been dead does kind of change your perspective on life.
