I was in the DC area last spring and had the following question presented to me. Will Obama issue mass pardons if he loses in Nov.? Will he clean out Gitmo and pardon the "Blind Sheik" to punish the country? This question has been "bugging" me for months and I don't have an answer.
Would be a convenient way to terminate the democrat party.
Presidential pardons will be the least of our worries.
If anything, those will only serve as a distraction from the real damage he will do as a lame duck president.

He’ll do it if he loses. He’ll do it if he wins.
If he does, at least he will be acting within his constitutional power. He’s a man of no integrity but the executive power has been vested in him and the pardon power is absolute. There’s nothing we can do about it but remove that power as of January 20th via the November 6th election. That’s where the focus needs to be.
I know I’ve been thinking about how much damage he could do between November and January. I would hope someone has a contingency plan in place.
Is “he” planning for mass riots after any pardons of terrorists, thus the huge buy of ammo we’ve been hearing about?
A win means he is given the green light to destroy, and destroy he will.
A loss means he will intentionally run the red light at full speed... a scorched earth assault, knowing he hath but a short time.
So to me, the interesting question is: how complicit are our legislators, particularly those Senators in the Democratic Party?
I’ll bet the “Blind Sheik” has air fare and a seat to Egypt before January.

Yes...and to shove his finger in the face of the American people, he will be happy to pardon as many he can, who are the worst of the worst.
So after reading some other articles, maybe the press is doing us a favor by skewing the polls. Maybe they are keeping him from declaring an emergency before the election. Any thoughts on this?

My guess is he’s gone pretty far down that road. One could hope that if he doesn’t stick a knife in it’s heart - he has poked it in the liver.
He and his crew will punish the USA with many bits of sabotage from Pardoning all or most from Gitmo to selling pardons for his new life in Hawaii. They will trash the White House and do all he can to make Romney a failed president. Watch him speak out and carp from the sidelines—as his motley crew writes book after book showing his corruption and failures. In time he will be not looked upon well by history.

If everything that the President did would cause America to end, we would have been gone long time ago.
What if we had twitter in 1865, 1910, 1929 Nov 1, ..... We are soo overloaded on info there are people that now have evidence of massive theories that probably are true and would cause great change in this country. Have we not endured for over 200 years with adversity. We are built on improbable practicality. Our nation is not of the current day but where we have been. Founding fathers knew of no perfect Union but a thin thread of possibility. We are the greatest experiment and we are not a solution to the theory but a response to action of the day.
Obama won't have the luxury of living the lavish lifestyle in Hawaii if he sullies his name with pardons and endangers America with the closing of Gitmo. Look at Clinton. He more or less left office with less than a good reputation, yet was able to rebuild his image to the point he would win in a landslide if he could run again.
Obama will play by the rules of transition so that he can keep his options open. If he were to create havoc after his defeat, Congress could strip him of the post-election benefits presidents get. That would pretty much destroy him, and his cronies in Congress who enabled him.
