I’m always sorry to hear stories like this. I think it a shame that people who well at a young age weren’t taken care of by their agents or managers only to end up struggling because they never developed any other earning skills outside the business of entertainment which is fleeting for many reasons.

I've often wondered why so many of the kid stars end up so screwed up.

I don't think I'd let my kids get involved in the entertainment industry..playing in the school band or being in a local dance group or something like that might be ok. I figure they will probably end up in the military after high school or college so they will have plenty of time to see the world.

Wow, she's really aged over the past decade or so. I last saw her in a Weezer video ("Buddy Holly") around 1995 and at that time, she looked no older than when she was doing the TV show back in the 1970s.

Oh my - really sad, isn’t it? And - I couldn’t believe when I read she was at the Holiday Inn in Corydon, Indiana - that’s just 15 minutes away from my house.
