They just weren't in as much of a hurry as the one we have now
Many people just don’t realize that the leftest tilting of USA government was given much impetus when Wilson brought in a European internationalist banker to create the Fed Reserve. Roosevelt was certainly a left leaning politician and USA government has followed a socialistic trend since. Even Eisenhower, intentionally or by politics, was on the treadmill when he denounced McCarthy’s efforts to rid USA government of communists. I was no fan of McCarthy or communism.
