Newspaper Endorsements: What Cockamamie Reasons Will Be Used in Calling for 4 More Years of Obama?
Scarpetta

Posted on 09/29/2012 9:32:48 AM PDT by Scarpetta

The press will have to twist themselves into pretzels to come up with reasons why we should pull the lever for the One on November 6. Just as ridiculous will be their reasons not to vote for Romney.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Conspiracy
KEYWORDS: election; msm; vanity
What do you think they'll contort themselves into printing - with a straight face?

They will all manufacture laudatory cliches about The Won while demonizing Mittens for whatever... It will be a hideous contortion of cortex and digit manipulation on their IMacs. The result will have no effect on anyone since the Presstitutes are the only ones who read and heed this twerp trash.

I think it will be a good opportunity for a letter writing campaign to newspaper editors across the country - calling them out on their malpractice and duplicity.

Considering what I’ve been reading from Mort Zuckerman lately, if the NY Daily News and his other publications back 0bama in the end, he’ll need to do some fancy contorting.

The mouth-breathers will believe anything. Already calling Obama a “job creator.” But what about those without a job, or living by a thread? Will they risk 4 more years with only the promise of “hope”?

There will be no twisting or contorting.., that would entail doing some actual work to try to justify the un-justifiable and manipulate it into something credible

The will simply LIE THEIR A$$ES OFF

Much easier. No reason to justify higher taxes as...whatever- just deny they raised them.

In fact Obama CUT taxes...yeah, thats the ticket.

Obama and his wife, ..Morgan Fairchild.

This may be the last nail in the press coffin, if they go all in for him. Might even be a good idea to picket outside newspaper headquarters, with signs calling their lies out.

- No president could have done better.
- Osama dead, GM alive.
- Gays viewed more mainstream/acceptable. DADT repealed, personal belief that they should be allowed to marry.
- Strengthened the social safety net with Obamacare and keeping the unemployed fed and in their homes.
- War in Iraq ended.

That’s 5 talking points right there. Don’t think it isn’t going to be anything more than talking points from the campaign because it won’t be.

It will be the same reason Obama won in the first place - calls for the expansion of the "compassionate" welfare state in the face of the "draconian" cuts the other side is offering. And an opinion that. despite his flaws, Obama is more in touch with the "common man" than Romney, the distant plutocrat who puts "corporations before people."

It's amazing that after 70 years of this insipid crap, Republicans (Reagan excepted) still haven't crystallized a response that cuts through the MSM's worship of the Welfare State in a way the public can understand.

they'll have to layer in a little criticism too, to appear balanced. maybe they'll focus more on why Romney's the worst choice, instead of why Bammie is the better choice.

I don’t know if the compassionate welfare state argument will hold water this time. The obama phone lady epitomizes the welfare set. And she ain’t all that sympathetic.

The fabulous fabulousness of a fabulously historic event to re-elect an affirmative action representative of a racist black population coupled with a white-guilt ridden pennance, compounded by the greed of 47% of this country living off the rest of the real taxpayers.

Republicans created the mess.
Not even Alah could correct the problem in 4 years.

Oh, Romney wants to send your job to India, wants grandma dead, your daughter’s locked in iron chastity belts and wants everyone to be a Mormon.

Their credibility is already shot. Liberalism has failed America with every step. Let the news outlets spout what they want, people are seeing the smack of totalitarian govt.

Most of the media doesn’t even worry about twisting the truth anymore, instead opting for outright lies. I’m expecting them to just make stuff up out of whole cloth. I have friends that are leftists that are already doing this. This has to be the least intellectually honest period in history. Truth doesn’t seem to exist anymore.

A week or so after the last election, I bet my lib brothers that the NYT would endorse O-hole for reflection no matter who was running against him or how bad things were.

That was my initial point: The papers will endorse him no matter how ridiculous their reasons. I think these “journalists” should be put under a 72 hour psych hold.

In 2008 when whe endorsed This fine guy Obummer you were promised Hope and Change would arrive but sadly George Bush policies made it incredibly hard to make that happend during the first four years. So we endorse Obummer for a 2nd four years as Bush is no longer around as a scapegoat and its now all the fault of John Boehner that Hope and Change has not worked.

But...he is cool and he is fun to have a beer with.
