Justin Bieber throws up on stage during 'Believe' tour opener(Video)

Justin Bieber played the sold-out first show of his "Believe" tour Saturday night (Sept. 29), and fans got a little something extra as well -- though probably not what Bieber was hoping to give them.

The 18-year-old pop star vomited on stage midway through his set in Phoenix. As you can see in the video below, during his performance of "Out of Town Girl," he turns away from the crowd, doubles over and lets fly before running off stage.

He returned a few minutes later but then had to leave the stage again during "Beauty and a Beat," USA Today reports. The show stopped completely for a few minutes until he returned and confessed his illness.

I agree.

I don’t know why so many on FR are so down on this kid.

I don’t care for his music either, but that’s no reason to crucify him.

Can you just imagine what kind of pressure this young man is under with such sudden fame, wealth and adoration at such a young age?

He was raised a Christian and is not afraid to profess his faith.

Maybe he will have a positive influence on some of today’s youth.

If they want to go after somebody, go after the rappers who
‘sing’ about hos and murdering whites and cops.

No, I’m not a 14 year old girl, but I am a parent and that is the problem here.

Would you appreciate these type “jokes” (many of which are not, BTW) being thrown at your 18yo son or about your 14yo daughter? I expect not.

There are actually many long time members here who have always allowed their children to read much of the content because of the respectful way various news topics have been covered. It has been a teaching/learning tool for the next generation of conservatives. Remember one of the tenets of this site is that it is PRO-family and young FReepers have always been encouraged.

Unfortunately of late I have found that I am having to play censor on what threads I allow my daughter to read because the quality of postings have been allowed to deteriorate. Heck - I play censor for myself, because so much of the postings no longer are of the caliber for which FR had previously been known.

You think I’m whining? Fine, that’s your prerogative. I know I am not and that trumps your opinion. Don’t like my posts - don’t read or respond to them.

Just remember, what you post reflects upon you, not upon the one to whom you are posting and insulting or making fun of the next generation of potential conservatives is not the way to win hearts and minds.

Could not agree with you more.

I know you aren’t 14. You stated you have a 14 year old daughter in a previous post. I highly doubt Justin Bieber is scouring FR for posts about himself. I always took the pro-family part to mean that we are for the traditional family unit, not that 10 year olds can read and post here.

I can see being disgusted if people were posting hopes of his death, but they were just cracking jokes. I guess we just disagree on that point.

“Don’t like my posts - don’t read or respond to them.” That is a two-way street. As for your last point, what did I post negative about Justin Bieber on this thread?

My apologies - you were not who I meant to copy the comment to. I sincerely apologize. The drug comments really got my back up and I copy/pasted wrong poster.

I have no problem with the music jokes. While I do actually like some of it, a lot of it is just not my cup of tea.

He’s still a kid, he’s made good, and I like some of the things he has done and how he has tried to be a positive influence. There are worse “artists” the kids could be following. What he did for that little girl with cancer, just said so much to me. The reaction of the kids around me to that has been beyond words. I have a 14yo daughter, so I spend a lot of time with a part of his “fan base.” Granted most of them were already involved in community outreach things through their churches and other organizations, but it did add something for them to strive for — if that makes any sense.

You're not the only one who does that. I so wish there was a "thread ignore" button. Some of the more gratuitous thread titles are alone enough to turn me away.

I am absolutely DISGUSTED by the comments being thrown around here by so—called adults. I have a 14 year old daughter who is a fan and I hear plenty from her about the hate thrown and this young man and I try explaining to her it is to be expected from kids.

Well, if your daughter is 14 and already spending time on Free Republic, she's probably mature enough to transit her teeny-bopper phase and start listening to some real music.

Seriously, adults have been making fun of teeny-boppers since the 1950s. When I was growing up, my sister had the likes of Leif Garrett and Shaun Cassidy pinned up on her bedroom wall. I gave her lots of grief but she got over it.

I recommend your daughter download something by The Fleet Foxes or Wilco. Time to move on.

Good for him, I would probably throw-up as well at one of his concerts.

I think he is. I do like some of his stuff, not all of it, but I know members of his fan base. I have a 14yo old daughter with friends, how could I not. It's hilarious to listen to those who are fans and those who aren't but there isn't any of the meanness I've seen online (including this thread)or they've seen online. But one thing I have noticed from the kids I know, they all agree he is a good person.

Bieber makes a success of himself and he gets ripped apart . Comes with the territory but it’s only fair that his other side, the one that may make a difference in the life of some of his fans , be recognized.

Stratford Ont is my wife’s home town and I lived in and around that city for the better part of 25 years so we’ve take an interest in the guy .

Canada doesn’t have anything that resembles American food stamp programs so Canadians in need depend on food banks which are charities and get their support from donations . For years when he was growing up Bieber’s mother depended on food banks and now Bieber has donated thousands of dollars to the House of Blessing in Stratford and thousands to other food banks as a thank you for helping his mother . It can easily be said he can afford it , that’s true , but he could as easily forget and ignore it too.

Very few on FR have heard of Avalanna Routh . Bieber did and took the time to make a dying girl happy. The man deserves a pat on the back , not ridicule . Rotten singer , but he’s a good man.

I tend to ignore more threads than I would have in the past, just from experience.

I understand what you are saying and where you are coming from.

My gripe is not the threads or titles themselves, but the comments made therein. There was a time when FReepers were a whole lot more respectful in their comments and gratuitous cussing and insults where not permitted at all. We used to use terms like bovine excrement or bravo sierra as opposed to the more common term (and I mean common in the lowest sense) but it seems the slang is now the norm.

It is dismaying.

She does listen to real music. She is quite the admirer of Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. Daddy has turned her on to the Grateful Dead and the Who.

I have no problem with her music selections.

BTW - neither he nor I have any knowledge of The Fleet Foxes or Wilco. My preferences lean to Sinatra, Crosby, Broadway and johnny Cash.

Continuing you quest to bash as many conservatives as possible I see. What are you up to? 15 or 20 in the last month or so.

Looking forward to reading this thread. Not disappointed (mostly). Albeit, at the expense of someone who seems to be a decent kid.
