Posted on 10/05/2012 8:19:36 PM PDT by The Citizen Soldier
My nine year-old grandson is spending the evening with some friends. It seems that the boys he's with got into a political conversation and my grandson said, "I'm voting for Romney because Obama used too much money and had to borrow it from China, so now we owe China."
I'm amazed that he understands so much and would rather talk politics than X-box (his true passion!).
In the course of the conversation, one of the other boys shared that his mom voted for Obama in 2008 but doesn't know what she was thinking and will NOT vote for him this time.
Now they have robbed them!
Leftists are NOT nice people.
My young son was watching t.v. and Obama came on and I heard my son say “liar” to the television.
Tells me two things:
1) Your son is very observant.
2) Obama's lips were moving.
That’s very succinct!
My almost eight-year-old kept complaining that Obama was saying “um” too much. He knows from his presentation skills that saying that word isn’t allowed.
He said repeatedly, “Mom, he’s saying ‘um’ again. Does that mean he’s lying?” I told him that saying “um” was just a sign that you weren’t prepared, and that yes, it was looking very bad for a President to say it so much.
Kids will pick up on things said in debates and parse a lot for themselves. They’re definitely not stupid.
Actually, we’re not borrowing $$ from China. We’re borrowing it from the Federal Reserve. And the Federal Reserve is creating it out of thin air.
Thank goodness that other kid’s mom gets it now!
My own kid (26) has been fending off those of her friends who are saying “romney hates big bird” all day.
I tried to tell her she needs to explain to them about the debt, but I didn’t get very far with that.
At least my kid, herself, is a dyed in the wool republican! 3 generations now!

True true, but give them enough time in public school and
manny of them will be
Soetoro has alienated more groups in which a vast majority of them voted for him in 2008. Current evidence shows that blacks, Hispanics, Jews, younger voters among others will give him less support this time around. This leads to the question: What groups which didn't vote for the pretender the first time around will vote for him this time?
She could remind her friends that Big Bird is now 40 years old and might be ready to move out and make it on his own. :-)
romney hates big bird
I’m hearing that from the 20s crowd also. I think it’s a college thing.
I don’t know what disturbs me worse. That they won’t engage the actual issues, or that the only sentence of that entire debate they can comprehend was one that included the words “big bird”.
So the average education level of a mid-20s college student is... preschool? That explains a lot.
Or at least it explains to a large extent where their maturity level lies. They aren’t even making the correct logic leaps. Romney was in a roundabout way threatening all the subsidies and social services by picking one to talk about that would not polarize voters against him.
They’re too stupid to even figure out what he was actually doing, which was opening a dialog to reduce subsidies by STARTING SOMEWHERE.
Oh my goodness yes, I agree.
This is what we hear about cutting spending (and this didn’t start with obama and it’s not his own lazy b*tt’s fault even):
You can’t cut the big stuff (defense, soc sec, medicare/medicaid) because PEOPLE WILL DIE a horrible death, in the gutter, etc. And you hate vets.
But, you also can’t cut the little stuff because: It doesn’t matter, it’s little stuff.
Obviously you’ve got to start cutting the little stuff. This is what Dave Ramsey would tell our gov’t to do.
Sorry PBS & NPR, FIND A WAY TO SURVIVE.
I’m pretty sure they will. If they just keep getting “Cousin” Brucie to sit in on their fundraisers I’ll continue to send them more money than I can afford.
Now it can be told: Cousin Brucie has mind control powers over me!
I’m in the military education business - if any of my instructors talked like Zero without his teleprompter, they would be looking for another line of work.
